Legendary. Promos, he made you feel it. Hard times promo resonates even today because it’s true. In ring brawling was great. Dusty was the man you couldn’t hate.

10 mic work, 10 personality/gimmicks. I'm not THAT familiar with his ring work but it seemed based more on emotional investment/showmanship as opposed to, "This dude can GO." even though I'm sure he could go.

Clear 10. Could be considered top ten all time and can be argued higher then 9th if u want to. All time great mic work, all time great characters, solid matches, limited but engaging move sets, all one great feuds, and entertaining no matter what he was given or doing

You don’t know what hard times are daddy. Hard times are when the textile workers around this country are out of work, they got 4 or 5 kids and can’t pay their wages, can’t buy their food. Hard times are when the auto workers are out of work and they tell ‘em go home.And hard times are when a man has worked at a job for thirty years, thirty years, and they give him a watch, kick him in the butt and say “hey a computer took your place, daddy”, that’s hard times! That’s hard times! And Ric Flair you put hard times on this country by takin’ Dusty Rhodes out, that’s hard times. And we all had hard times together, and I admit, I don’t look like the athlete of the day supposed to look. My belly’s just a lil’ big, my heiny’s a lil’ big, but brother, I am bad. And they know I’m bad.

He gets an 8 off promos and charisma alone. Never was a fan of his in-ring work and never cared much about him in general. Maybe if I was older and could have seen his prime Florida/Georgia/NWA runs in real-time he'd be a bigger deal to me, but as someone who had to look back at his classic matches via TV, DVDs and the like, he never clicked with me.

Mic-10 easy, one of the GOATs.

Star power/Charisma-9. Gotta take a point for looking like sh1t. Undertaker vs Dusty or Dusty vs Hogan doesnt feel as big as Sting vs Hogan because of it imo. But still, huge star, a lot of charisma.

Ring- hard to rate because what he did got the job done at the time. He clearly worked the crowd well in the ring, even if I dont wanna watch his solo matches in 2018. I still like a lot of the NWA tag stuff he did against the horsemen though. 6.

Overall 8. I see why he's a star, but I'm less excited to watch his stuff than Sting, Flair, Steamboat, so hes an 8. Maybe if I grew up with him itd be different.
