Im thinking a 7 or 8. i would give him a 10 when it comes to ring work.. college background, can go toe to toe with any wrestler.

gets the crowd involved with the dog pound bark. he and his brother helped tag team wrestling. Steiner brothers helped rick but also hurt him.. Scott stood out so much with the frankensteiner and then the muscle gain. He had more charisma. He had made u forget how good Rick was. PLus rick never cut any ground breaking promos.

I gave him a 5 because as strong as the Steiners were before 1996, he was so fukking trash as a singles guy that he was painful to watch.

Scott was an unbelievable talent in the ring that it made most ppl forget that Rick was beastly himself....them Steinerlines, suplexes, and flying bulldog he did were brutal plus he was strong as shyt....took part in some of the most classic tag team matches of the last 25 years.....hell it took rick a lot longer to fall off ring wise..and even then the fall off wasn't as drastic on some day and night shyt like Scott...at one time Rick was the charismatic member of the Steiner Bros with barking and shyt..but like someone said Rick never evolved, personality or gimmick wise, from tag team..his promos were "fine" for 80s - mid 90s..but when things got more promo heavy he sounded more and more hokey..outside of his late 80s NWA run, his singles matches were nothing to write about..id give rick about a 6.5.

-Mic work/promos: 4... typical knucklehead '80s style promo

-Personality/gimmicks: 7. Dog-Faced Gremlin, the barking and amateur wrestling gear all seemed pretty unique for its time.

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 6. Threw some of the greatest suplexes and clotheslines, and is obviously a part of one of the great tag teams ever... but how many great solo matches did he ever have? I'm sure you could find something worthwhile during his pre-Steiner Brothers days in the NWA that involved the Varsity Club, or possibly a random match with Flair in the early '90s, but he was sloppy and lazy by the mid-90s. He seemed like an a$$hole in later years as well working too stiff with people.

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores): 6. If he had never teamed up with Scotty, this guy would not have any lasting legacy in the business. At least when Scott's workrate fell off in the mid-90s, he could talk. Rick didn't even have that to back him up. His solo heel run in the later years of WCW is embarrassing (but everyone's run in the later years of WCW is embarrassing).
