With a scale of 1-10 how would you rate Edge in these categories:

-Mic work/promos

-Personality/gimmicks

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds)

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores

-Mic work/promos: 8
Edge was pretty versatile with promos. He could effectively give goofy promos and intense promos. One of his greatest promos was his promo against Matt Hardy on the 8/8/05 Raw episode.

Also the infamous Billy Gunn KOTR promo:

His mic skills weren't top tier or elite but very good which helped in his feuds.

-Personality/gimmicks: 9
He started out with the loner angle which was decent. Later he worked with The Brood which was a cool gimmick. Then worked with Christian in a tag team that brought us many entertaining moments. He later found his groove as a singles star with the Rated R gimmick. Edge was someone who could be extreme, be comedic, be sadistic, be sleazy, and overall cover a wide spectrum of personality traits. He also single-handedly provided more fukkery than most superstars ever could. Whether it was with the Matt Hardy-Lita angle, dressing up like Ric Flair and beating someone up on the side of a highway, spearing Mick Foley through a flaming table, beating up John Cena's dad at his home, kidnapping Paul Bearer and keeping him away from Kane, etc.

Also bonus points for having one of the greatest theme songs:

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 8
Matches/feuds: vs John Cena, vs Ric Flair, vs Undertaker, vs Matt Hardy, vs Mick Foley, vs Kurt Angle, vs Jeff Hardy, vs Randy Orton

We all know that his Spear was weak looking to the point that some people called it the "Running Hug". :lolbron:

However, it was extremely over with the crowd and as soon as he moved to that corner and started grabbing his hair, the crowd would go crazy. :gladbron:

Edge wasn't exactly a technical wizard but he found ways to make every match and feud entertaining and engaging. He's never really had a "bad" match. He even made a match with Great Khali seem tolerable.

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above score: 9

Since I'm a huge fan of Edge and Christian I'm slightly biased with the rating but as an overall performer he was great. An impressive resume, many memorable moments not just in tag team wrestling but as a singles competitor, great gimmicks, an amazing rivalry with John Cena that helped boost both of their profiles, the infamous Matt Hardy-Lita angle, and the list goes on. He easily is one of the top stars of the post-Attitude Era and just an excellent performer who was willing to push boundaries.

I give him a 7. Mainly for the hardware he won.

Never was a fan, but he did have some entertaining segments and his tag matches were always strong.

He always worked well when he had a partner/someone/valet to feed off, then when he was on his own, which was hardly ever in his single run, from what I can remember. With Rated RKO made Klandy seem actually interesting.

Probably king of the gimmick matches, which he was good at, found his regular matches boring.

Personal 8. He's the kind of guy that isn't going to ever be mentioned with the GOATs or Tier 0 guys, but does have a great career when you look back at it.

He definitely overachieved to me because I would have :pachaha: if you told me he would be a legit champ after his tag career was over.

He was a great piece of shyt heel and could easily get the crowd behind him as a face.

PLUS THE MUSIC :banderas:. It's the last true main homegrown event theme :wow:
