Kanyon was an innovator, even Edge had to bite his moveset. :wow: I wouldn't be surprised if his style influenced the late 90s indy scene. Hilarious during his Kanyon Cutter days. It's a shame his WWE run sucked since he and DDP got "buried alive" by a Mark. He didn't get to live up to his potential due to politics. :rip:

I'll give him a high 6/10.

I give him a favorable 6 cause he did fairly well for what he was given, even though there was potential for more. He was definitely an innovator even if a lot of the wrestlers that bit him were probably better than him, and wouldn't tell you they bit from him. Loved his stuff during the Jersey Triad stable and he was very entertaining when he was mocking DDP. His WWE run didn't amount to much, but during Invasion, the WWE made sure that Kanyon and a lot of other wrestlers wouldn't do much. He was entertaining during the Alliance MVP stuff, but you knew he wasn't going to do anything past that. I think my favorite matches from him involved Raven, Saturn, DDP, and Benoit in some variation.

-Mic work/promos: 5.

-Personality/gimmicks: 7. I HATED the Mortis gimmick as a kid. All of that Glacier/Wrath/Mortis Mortal Kombat shyt was lame as fukk to me, but looking back, I kinda dig it. When he became Kanyon, he got to show out a bit more with his personality. I thought the Jersey Triad stable with himself, DDP, and Bam Bam was kinda cool.

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 7. Again, once he shed the Mortis gimmick, he got to show out. Dude really was an innovator of offense. Had some really good matches/feuds with DDP, Benoit, and Raven. Definitely a good hand to have around.

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores: 6. Likable, above average mid-card guy.

A personal favorite of mine.

Good in ring ability, very innovative with his move set. Good enough on the mic to hold his own.

My favorite memory of him was when he was going around backstage giving kanyon cutters to everyone.

6/10

@stro of all people is a Kanyon fan. Who would have thought it? :gucci:

So many people got on my case in The Undertaker thread and yet people here are giving him 6's and below. :heh:

Kanyon? fukking Kanyon? :laff: Who really thought he had next?

Kanyon may have been innovative but he wasn't going to be successful in WWE. DDP's wasted run is more of a disappointment than Chris Kanyon being reduced to a lisp and a goofy catchphrase.

A 6 is based on what he HAS done, not what he could have done.

The complete dismantling and embarrassment of DDP in the WWE could be a thread itself.

We might have some problems when we get to that Undertaker thread. :birdman:

That's going to be #50 by the way.
