With a scale of 1-10 how would you rate Billy Gunn in these categories:

-Mic work/promos

-Personality/gimmicks

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds)

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores)

I give him a 6. He was an ok hand in the ring, had some charisma but wasn't a good talker. Was part of one of the most over tag team's of all time during wrestling biggest boom. That right there should boost him up to a 7 but he wasn't a 7 though. I really did like the early days of the NAO, it was a washed up Billy gunn and never was Jesse James and they got over organically. The NAO stuff should make Billy a 7 but I just can't do it. He was a solid hand but memorable moments a far and few between, he has pushing the dumpster off the raw stage and getting called Billy bytchcakes by the rock as memorable moments. If we had a decimal system I'd make Billy a 6.5 but we don't so I'll give him a 6

every tag team he was apart of got over and over big. Smoking Guns, NAO, Billy n Chuck, The James Gang/VKM in TNA.

Always a solid in ring worker, nothing amazing. same with mic skills solid, nothing amazing.
This about Billy Gunn on his own though, and he was solid on the mic? :usure: He was ok at best

I can't go higher than six, never been shyt without Road Dogg/DX

NAO were legendary in the early Attitude era, although they eventually got eclipsed by the TLC trio. His singles runs always bombed. Billy & Chuck didn't entertain me. Neither did much of anything in his TNA run. The NAO nostalgia run was cool but it ran its course fast. Want to rate him higher but even nostalgia can't really bump his rating up.

Wanted to give him a 7, but I'll give him a high 6 instead. Made chicken salad out of quite a few dumpster gimmicks. He was a defining Attitude Era dude in a defining stable and tag team, and was in a bunch of various tag teams that seemed to work. Was very athletic, had an identifiable moveset, theme, had charisma, and was solid on the mic, especially if you compare him to dudes today than can't really talk:beli: . He probably has no classic matches, but played a big part in AE in general. The New Age Outlaws were basically thrown together, and became one of the most popular teams of that era, and the WWE has spent years trying to replicate randomly putting two dudes together, and haven't really come close at doing so. Roaddogg and Billy Gunn were both in dead in the water gimmicks, and Billy Gunn smashing that guitar over Honky Tonk Man's head to resounding cheers kicked off everything for him. The WWE's mistake with Billy Gunn was continuing to try to push him solo, knowing that he 100% shined as a tag partner. Rockabilly:hhh:? A solo Mr. Ass :stopitslime:?? "The One" Billy Gunn :martin: that'll get him over. The Rock and Edge verbally dismantled him, and thankfully those were the last inklings of a solo career for him. Even his Billy & Chuck tag team was entertaining as fukk :mjlol:him and Palumbo were perfect together. Showing up in TNA rekindling his team with Roaddogg and becoming "Cute Kip" though :hhh::camby:. So he's overall a 6. I have fond memories of him in tag teams in Attitude and Ruthless Aggression (except Gunn-Show and Voodoo Kin Mafia:camby:in TNA) and :ld::ld:memories of him solo.
