With a scale of 1-10 how would you rate Arn Anderson in these categories:

-Mic work/promos

-Personality/gimmicks

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds)

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores)

7. Excellent technical wrestler, decent ring charisma and heat, nothing as a talker. Also apparently a shytty creative mind and agent so that marks him down some.

9. Underrated legend in the business. Great theme, good talker that didn't have to yell at all to get his point across, was part of a GOAT stable, and has the GOAT Spinebuster that's been imitated ever since.

Strong 8.

Arn was a legit bad ass without even trying. His matches were technical yet had brawling tendencies. Also, his promos were straight to the point. Dude's persona was that of a disappointed dad waiting to whoop your ass if you got caught stealing his smokes. Arn epitomizes what it meant to be the muscle of a group. Dude played the position in the horseman, you already know what it was in the Dangerous Alliance, and he made shyt into stir fry with the Stud Stable:mjlol:. Plus I always preferred his variation of the DDT. It was like a hitman move...quick and painless.

Mic Work - 9
Personality / gimmicks - 7
Ring Work - 9

I don't even need to explain Mic work and ring work. It's fukking Arn Anderson. For personality, he is a good enforcer, but his schtick got tired as the 90s came thru, and he looked really old on nitro during the struggle horsemen era. That's my only possible knock on enforcer.

Overall a Strong 8, solid B letter grade.

Def agree with this part. he was starting to stand out like how Dr. Death and Dan Severn stood out during Attitude in 97/98

What were some of his bad ideas?
I forget the specifics but I remember a lot of WCW guys complaining about the booking committee during his tenure, including still overbooking The Horsemen's roles on tv. Plus he's been a producer for the 'E the last 5 or 6 years, so that's pretty damning :mjlol: And of course you can't forget this awesome burial by HitGoat on him as an agent 20:54 :youngsabo:

-Mic work/promos - a solid talker..almost in the vein of Jake Roberts..didnt have to raise his voice or come up with catchphrases...just straight to the point with some cold shyt sprinkled in 9

-Personality/gimmicks - He was the enforcer in one of the greatest groups of all tome...nuff said

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) = Arn put in work (singles and tag teams) vs hart foundation/rockers/wargames 92/flair/regal/eaton...GOAT spinebuster and a convincing ass DDT..he made that TV title very credible during his reigns

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores) - always wondered by arn never got a run with the US title or even a transitional world title reign..i mean shyt he deserved that much considering he had to job a title to the renegade..what made arn great is also what hurts him a little..he played the backup role for too long in his career..give him a 7.5-8

Mic work/promos: 7. Better than average promo

-Personality/gimmicks: 5. His whole gimmick was an enforcer for the Horsemen and he played it well but that being said it was a bland gimmick with little need for personality

-Ring work- 10. Dude was a workhorse and could go with anyone and make them look great. Theres a reason hes so well respected and has been a agent for so long

-Overall rating- 9. Its can't be easy walking in the shadows of Ric Flair your whole career and still shine on your own but he did. Not flashy with swagger like Flair but he still was a standout talent and I think pretty underrated

One of the most underrated dudes of all time. Could do absolutely anything you needed. You need a bad ass heel with violence and blood? Check. You need a mat classic and even some lucha? Check. You need comedy stooging? Check. You need both Southern and WWF style tags? Check. You need promos that kill it every time? Check. Arn is in my permanent Fave Five. It's astounding he was forced to play second fiddle his entire career even when not having to carry Ric's coat tails.
