Owen was always good character even as a little kid when he was the Rocket with Koko he could really go. Bret/Owen was the best thing in a crummy wrestling year in 1994 in either promotion

Owen in The Nation was dope and with Jarrett he was dope he always played his character to a T. I thought his personality was a 9, mic skills 7, in ring performance 9 he was coasting after Bret got screwed over but he was still sharp in the ring

Owen was a dope talent he was great in the ring. His promo work was good but not great but character work is underrated in my book. the way he played the jealous brother felt real. In addition his cocky (king of hearts/Slammy award winning)offshoots of his jealous brother gimmick were also great. I think he had a great feel for playing heel characters. He knew when to be over the top and when to be serious and that's something not all talent can do.

Overall I give him 8. Just a dope underrated talent.

RIP.

Promos were good in 97, nothing for all the other years. 4

Gimmicks: oh shyt I forgot about slammy Owen, I'll give him an 8

Ring work 8: no disrespect to the dead but he was very good, but not as good as revisionist history has him.

Overall: 8

I really thought him and Bret hated each other when I was a kid but other than that I always thought he was wack tho as I fot older I could appreciate his ring work mainly his Stampede stuff and I still pop when i see him do something goofy in the ring and yell wooo

He gets a 6.

He was midcarder/ tag team wrestler for pretty much his entire career in the WWF & played his position well..

Imma probably get some flack for this, but I don't think he had what it took to be a main eventer. Upper midcard guy at best.

RAW is Owen - the saddest wrestling event that I have ever watched :mjcry:..let me collect my thoughts before i post about him

One of the earliest saddest times in wrestling I can remember. I was a kid back then so I didn't quite grasp the whole situation I just knew that Owen had died and the show felt very heavy. :to:

When Eddie died I legit stopped watching wrestling for years :mjcry:

Good worker, but brother the guy had all time trash promos. Brets promos were delivered in a bland way at times, but were convincing. Owen sounded like he was reading off cards. He did have a pretty exciting ring style though, and stayed over. He gets a 7.

Promos - 8 - Not flashy or anything but he cut decent chicken shyt heel promos..he was whiny and annoying...got legit heel heat all the way. had that smile that makes you want to punch him. as a kid i didnt really care for him but as i got older and realized what it took to be a heel i realized he's one of the best of that era

In Ring - 9 - underrated/varied moveset...he did a wide array of moves from the grounded stuff to various high flying moves...i might have to dock him down to an 8 though because of that Tombstone :whoa:

Gimmicks - 10 - now i'm not saying he was given the best gimmicks but man did he play the fukk out of them...this dude walked out to every match with 2 Slammy Awards AND the tag belt and was still jumping up & down like he just won those shyts...he had dedication...and the fact that after a billion years he was actually willing to do another Blue Blazer run...granted he shoulda turned that one down...

8.5 Definitely not a nugget.

Enough is enough and its time for a change :manny:
