With a scale of 1-10 how would you rate Booker T in these categories:

-Mic work/promos

-Personality/gimmicks

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds)

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores)

Just to add on, if memory serves me right they kinda just threw booker and goldust together because neither was doing anything at the moment, not only did they make it work and got it over, they became one of the most over acts on the roster. People still remember their tag team very fondly. Just a testament to how talented both booker and goldust are

The 5 Boroughs
7 I would've voted him higher if he didn't fall victim to The Reign Of Terror.

Booker would've been remembered more for beating Triple H at WM than King Booker. That's a gimmick that he turned to gold with his wife. The Booker/Goldust dynamic was entertaining. Booker had it promos,in ring and character but the Triple H program killed all his momentum to be in the top 3 in wwe at the time. Relegatedto smackdown to be on the B show and hold the B championship was disrespectful to his legacy.

The rednecks in Dubbya See Dubbya trusted him but the Yankees didn't.

-Mic work/promos
  • 9 - he sold the match that night or for the PPV and came across as major asf at all times...And his promos as king Booker were amazing and hillarious
-Personality/gimmicks
  • 10 - always legit...Always a threat...Worked in heel roles, tough guy Babyface roles, tag team Dynamics, the GOAT KING BOOOKAH, and in bookdust. An amazing repitoire of gimmicks and his general personality shined at all times.
-Ring work
  • 9 - wasn't sloppy, could brawl, worked tag style perfect, and had dope finishers (Harlem hangover, sidekick, and idgaf bookend was kinda dope). He sold pain pretty well too.

Booker T is a 10/10. An amazing worker who would get over in any era and was a big deal in the hottest era of wrestling and continued into the next era and is a solid commentator.

Damn Booker NEVER comes up on the radar of GOATs but looking at his accomplishments :wow:

I have a different criteria and dammit if Booker doesn't check every box on the list (Charisma, Athleticism, "look/ is he beleivable" :whoa:, success, ability to get over, longevity)

Booker gotta be an 8 or above...if we were rounding I'd be rounding up to a 9 but he is JUST out of that all time list of top shelf guys because he didn't quite ever have that "transcendent" moment like some of the 9s in my book did. Not that he couldn't (because breh had it all) he was just never given the opportunity.

Right now i'd rate Booker a 7 overall.

It pains me to say that but I can't ignore his time in TNA, where he was just hamming it up constantly.

Booker should be a solid 9, but being buried twice by HHH prevented that from happening. People forget just how over Booker T was for a time, he was right on the cusp of being a perennial main eventer before HHH buried him leading up to and at Wrestlemania 19, it's still the most fukked up thing HHH did in the early 2000's. Then when Booker struck gold again with the King Booker gimmick they fed him to HHH again just to get over his "King of Kings" nickname.

Booker was a slightly underrated worker, he wasn't a guy that could carry people in match, but if you put him in the ring with good talent he could put on a hell of a show. We never really got to see him go up against truly great workers on a regular basis outside of Benoit and a couple brief feuds with Angle.

Promo wise Booker is highly underrated, he was good to great on the mic as a heel or a face, he could be funny, but could also cut really intense serious promos.

Booker is always going to have a huge "What if" dangling over his head, because he could have really gone to the next level if not for that burial at Wrestlemania 19.

Booker is a solid 8.5 - 9 but like a poster already said he doesn't have the classic matches in abundance (at least for me) that I'd go back and rewatch over and over because he was in it, but everything else you would want in a wrestler, he had.

I mean the King Booker gimmick shouldn't have worked but it was the best thing about SD for awhile and he even added that extra depth to it when he would "slip" and go back to his old character.

Booker NEVER stopped being dedicated after being fed to Austin, Rock, and HHH and despite Vince telling the audience that WCW wasn't shyt. Loved him as a singles and tag wrestler in WCW, even the G.I. Bro gimmick. . He was one of the only wrestlers that still shone during the Reign of Terror when he teamed up with Goldust. They really fukked up not having him win at WM19. Wasn't a fan of WCW playing hot potato with the title, but the "FIVE TIME" catchphrase was always over. Oh yeah, go back and watch his Best of 7 series with Benoit. :wow: I missed out on his King Booker and TNA run unfortunately. I'll give him 7/10.

Dude is definitely a 9.

Booker t had the longevity in his career, the skills/personality, classic matches, versatility as a performer, etc

Dude really came up step by step.

A part of one of the greatest tag teams of all time in the Harlem heat.

Dude put in work in the midcard scene for wcw with the likes of Benoit, Saturn, DDP, Raven, kanyon, etc.

Reached the main event in wcw & puts in more work.

Goes to the wwe where the odds are against him & still shows out.

Excellent as a face/heel, can play the comedic role perfectly, he can play just about any position you ask of him to do(tag team, mid card, main event you name it).:ohlawd:

I think the only thing that Booker never proved was if he had it in him to be that dude, but his popularity was right up their with the likes of rvd & rey mysterio.

You can thank HHH for blocking guys like Jericho, rvd, booker t, etc of having that opportunity to see what their full projectory would've played out as.:hhhtroll:

I think booker t might legit be top 10 overall to ever do it once you take into account his talent & the type of career he's had.:ehh:
