With a scale of 1-10 how would you rate Steiner in these categories:

-Mic work/promos

-Personality/gimmicks

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds)

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores)

-Mic work/promos: 11/10

-Personality/gimmicks: 11/10

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) - 11/10

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores) - 11/10, but being serious a 9

I can't see any any legitimate arguments for anyone giving him less than 8, the man was a physical freak, one of the best wrestlers in the world in the early 90's and did things nobody else has done before or since

If you merged the two eras of Steiner (Big Poppa Pump's mic skills and early 90's Steiner's moveset and athleticism) you'd get the greatest wrestler of all time :wow:

Super entertaining
Great tag (one of the GOAT)
Awesome singles run...one of the few stars of late WCW (along with team madness 2000)
Great promo skills be it humor or intimidation, even through his marblemouth
Moveset is incredible, all power moves and a frankensteiner

But

Aged bad...injuries and lack of conditioning crushed his workrate during his second WWE run even though he was entertaining as hell

I gave him a 9. One of my favorites over.

Was a huge fan of both old school and new school (I guess you can call it that) Steiner, I just wish his athletic prime from the early 90's matched up with his peak character of 98 and on. Dude was an amazing all around wrestler early on, then once the steroids continued to kick in, he was more a suplex based dude, which was ok since it fit his new character. Loved him on the mic, and latter years (TNA and on) he was just funny as shyt. Most people's last memory of Steiner was two abysmal matches vs HHH where he was gassed after 3 belly to belly suplexes, and falling off the ring apron while attempting to dive on Test. And if you watched more than the WWE, you probably remember a decent TNA run with Main Event Mafia and math equations. Overall I'd put him somewhere between a 7.5-8, cause I loved his character in the late 90s and 00's, loved his offense, and I thought he was a highlight of WCW at the time simply by being on TV. Wish he was in better physical condition when he finally made it [back] to the WWE.

Mic work/promos = 10

-Easily the most entertaining wrestler on the mic that I've ever seen. In terms of intensity, absurdity, and brashness, he's one of the best.

Personality/gimmicks = 10

-When people think of the prototypical wrestling gimmick, Steiner fits that mold to a T. He was fukkery personified. He lived and breathed his gimmick. So much so that it was weird seeing him talk like a regular person outside of the ring.

Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) = 7

-Early in his career he was extremely athletic and innovative at times. However due to injuries and other factors his skills diminished a little bit but he still was entertaining.

-Favorite feuds = Too many to choose from. He made all of them entertaining.

Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores) = 9

I would have given him a 10 if he kept wrestling at a high level but despite his regression he still was extremely entertaining and definitely a legend in the wrestling industry.

Looking at this purely objectively, even tho I'm a big Steiner mark, he was not a draw as a singles. And his in-ring work had greatly deteriorated by the time he reached the height of his success.

However, for a time in the early 90s he was without question the best wrestler in the world. One half of a GOAT-level tag team, one of the most entertaining characters in wrestling history.

Legend for his era, not an all-time great up there with Hogan, SCSA, The Rock, Andre The Giant, and etc.
Excellent moveset, was really a fan when he was in the tag team with his brother and he had the mullet.
Genetic freak Scott Steiner was pretty awesome though and his best gimmick.

10.:birdman:

This nikka walked to the ring with a tiger.

Promos were all legendary fukkery. From telling Flair he had skin like a sharpei puppy to the Samoa Joe maths promo.

His first words on his first post Invasion appearance were "Gimme a fukking mic:ufdup:"
Some of his ring work was :huhldup:in the post WCW 'E, but I can forgive that.

I'm still not convinced that his Shoney's Manager gimmick isn't some sort of elaborate work.:jbhmm:

Plus he was taking open faced shyts on Hogan's entire life long before it was fashionable :manny:
