Mic work was a 7... kinda gets overshadowed by his famous nonsensical promos but he does have many where he did make sense and poured a lot of energy into them.

Gimmick was a 10. It was perfect for the time from the paint to the music.

Ring work pretty much depends on the opponent. Best matches were with Hogan, Savage, & Rude... can't really say any others stick out but I'm sure there are a few. I'll give it a 5.

Overall, a solid 7. It also kinda hurts him that aside from the initial run, he never hung around for long any time he came back after that. He def. made the most out of that early run tho'.

-Mic work/promos
an absolute original on this front...even to the point where vince made other wrestlers try to make fun of them in that warrior slander video he put out sometime back...it sounded hollow knowing damn very few of them had the mic presence he had

-Personality/gimmicks - warrior was hype incorporated...if you didn't feel an adrenaline surge in you when his music hit and dude sprinted towards that ring wild as fukk..then you must be a gotdamn mannequin..hell WCW tried to recreate him (i.e plagiarize) with another wrestler

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) - this is where he takes a hit..was not the best wrestler...limited but carryable in his prime, and terrible past his prime.anything longer than his typical squashes and his matches were struggle IF he didnt have the right opponent...but when he did...you get one of all time great matches: vs macho man at WM7..or even the more underrated rematch at SS 92..or matches with Rick Rude..even Hulk Hogan

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores) - Warrior made a lot of money and a huge impact in a short amount of time...no matter what you may think of him personally...dude will go down in history..honestly some of todays wrestlers should study him..not for the wrestling but to learn not act like a damn Create-A-Wrestler lol..give him a 6.5

I give him an 8 I was thinking about a 9 but the fact he never really bounced back after his first departure knocks him down a point.

Gimmick - 10/10...his gimmick fit the times prefect and his gimmick fit his own personality perfectly. His entrances are still one of the best of all time. everything about his gimmick was a perfect storm.

Mic skills and charisma - 8.5/10...he wasnt your typical idea of a classic promo but it worked. most were nonsensical but they were almost always entertaining and they always made you listen, that's what you want out of a promo.

Ring skill - I give him a 6/10... if you go by what supposedly makes a guy a good wrestler he's a 3 or 4 but his work in the ring, it worked for his gimmick and for the times. It wouldn't work now but it did 25 years ago. His squash matches were entertaining for what they were. And when he was with a great worker like Rude and Savage he had good matches. Hell him and hogan even had a good match at WM6

I would give him a high 7 because he is legendary and basically embodied everything that a late eighties early to mid-90s the wrestler was about. Full of steroids, very charismatic, hugely popular with the fans, crazy and very distinctive look, and outrageously nonsensical promos. Honestly, I don't give him a higher grade simply because his wrestling was very bad. The thing is you weren't really concentrating on his wrestling at the time, because you know all he was was big bursts of strength and speed, and then the match was basically over. His comeback to WCW was brutal and pretty legacy damaging in itself. Also, seeing him face Orlando Jordan and looking very very old and emaciated was a very bad look. I did like that he was able to patch things up with Vince McMahon before he died. Overall, he gets a very strong 7 for me. I remember his action figure was one of the first toys I had got when I was a kid, so I feel that's a very fair rating, as I do look at them with positive light right now as I never really knew about all his personal problems till way later on.

Just a note, I probably give him a 15 out of 10 simply for his epic no selling of the Pedigree at WrestleMania 12 :russ:. It's one of the greatest no sales of all time, and is probably one of the sole reasons that Triple H has managed to bury people so much and so badly over the years.

Oooooooooh man I can wait for the Tommy Dreamer one :laff:

-Mic work/promos: 8. That hit job DVD WWE released made it sound like dude cut the worst promos ever, but as a kid, they were captivating. His promos were more about ideologies and metaphysics instead of the standard "I'm gonna beat you at the PPV!". They were totally unique and entertaining.

-Personality/gimmicks: 10. Amazing look, amazing charisma.

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 4. He was an awful wrestler on his own, but could produce great matches with the right planning & opponent. Best matches are against Hogan at WM VI, Macho at WM VII, Macho at Summerslam '92. His feuds with Macho and Rick Rude were his best. Of course, there's his squash of Honky Tonk Man, which was a special moment.

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores): 8

When it comes to delivery he's one of the most passionate. I can't really say the "best" because his promo content was non-existent and mostly nonsense. He epitomized the coked out wrestling era and he achieved major success during that period. He almost was a parody of an 80s wrestler when it came to promos which may or may not have been intentional.

-Personality/gimmicks: 10
One of the few wrestlers to almost rival Hogan in popularity and crowd support. His charisma was off the charts and he especially was mega over with kids. Many current superstars have been seen with Ultimate Warrior facepaint for Halloween or have paid homage to some of Warrior's mannerisms like Batista shaking the ropes or Zack Ryder dressing up as Warrior for his Youtube show.

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 4
He was terrible but not bad enough where good wrestlers couldn't get good matches out of him. He was sloppy a lot of times in the ring and pretty limited but he still managed to have some classic matches.
Favorite feuds: vs Macho Man Randy Savage, vs Rick Rude, vs Ted DiBiase, vs Hogan
Rick Rude vs Ultimate Warrior for the Intercontinental Championship [Summerslam 1989]

Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior for the WWE Championship [Wrestlemania 6]

Ted DiBiase vs Ultimate Warrior for the WWE Championship [Main Event: 11/23/1990]

Randy Savage vs Ultimate Warrior [Wrestlemania 7]

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores): 6
Warrior was before my time but I was able to see his career thanks to the WWE Network (for only $9.99
JTc3lB5.png
). I'm pretty sure that if I grew up watching WWE during his prime years I probably would have been a fan just like most other kids were. However, seeing his career as an adult made everything seem corny. Warrior was someone who definitely wouldn't have done well in any other era. He was tailor-made for the late 80s/early 90s.

I find it both comical and pathetic how WWE went from slandering him and putting out an entire DVD shytting on his career to glamorizing his career and naming an award after him for some easy PR points. It's even more stupid when you take into account that Warrior was an open bigot and a difficult person to work with. He's a legend speaking in general terms but as an overall wrestler he wasn't very good at all.

Say what u want bout dudes work. His matches with hogan n savage were both better than higan vs savage. Dude a legend but i gave him sn 8. Ahead of its time character that was right on time to become a legend. Promose crazy. Paint. Music. Tassles. Clotheslines. Run. Press slams. More clotheslines

shyt worked.

N he got his money.

N he took on mcmahon n won.

Dudes call him crazy but he was very smart.

He got the last word too. Literally.

GOAT exit to the fans of all time.

20 years later dude made history coming back n giving his last will and testament.

fukk it. 10. He is what i thought wrestling was growing up. Larger than life.
