Towerfall Ascension is an upgraded version of the game Towerfall which is the best game on OUYA. It's a local multiplayer game where you take control of an archer inside of an arena and battle with up to three other archers. Every kill is one-hit, and you kill by hitting an opponent with an arrow or jumping on their head.

THERE IS NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER IN THIS GAME! You need REAL-LIFE FRIENDS in order to play the multiplayer. The game is similar to the Super Smash Bros. series in that there is single-player content (which can also be played with 2 players co-op), but the main draw and replayability of the game comes from the multiplayer.

I played the original game on OUYA. It was just the demo but the game is extremely fun. I and the people I was playing with couldn't stop playing. As long as nothing got worse with this version of the game, I highly recommend it.

The game was made by one person so adding online multiplayer would have been a huge task. The game is fast paced and needs the lowest latency possible. The experience is also better with people beside you that you can talk to and laugh with and stuff while playing.

I bet it would sell a lot better with online multiplayer though. I'm sure he could hire a few people to make that happen. Not like the game's graphics intensive.

The quality of the graphics has nothing to do with how well a game plays online. This is a fast paced, precision action game, and playing online would probably ruin that experience unless everybody in the game had extremely low ping. Maybe a Vita version could get by with ad-hoc multiplayer.
