This is why I say, never listen to to black elders....your life will pass u by....their life blueprint is this

- go to college

- Get a job

- Be subordinate to some middle aged white guy that look like a horse with the personality of a pack of gum

- work at the same job for 50 years straight, out of fear that u might not never find another job

- get married to a bad partner because u might not find nobody else

- spend your money and take out loans to by shyt u can't afford , just to impress a bunch of fukking strangers ... Who don't even care , because they're worried about their own survival

- live a life of a slave, being in debt, trapped in a bad relationship, and pray to white Jesus that u don't lose your job

That's why I see never listen to them, follow your heart, roll the dice. There is no blueprint for life, u just gotta figure out what u want and go for it. Life is a numbers game, u just take chances and whatever happens, happens

Playing it safe is really one of the saddest mistakes ppl make. My family personally were afraid to gamble accept my cousin and uncle, guess who had the most success? My cousin and uncle!

I'm thoroughly convinced that the safe route is a trap and that ppl are imprisoned by their own fear. U gotta get over that fear, trust me I've taken many L's, rejection, I'm still alive...failure is a learning experience....

To all the young ppl, don't let nobody kill your dream, anybody that say something is "unrealistic" really is a nothing but a punk and a coward...they're projecting their fears on u...with the internet u can research how to do whatever u want...u just really gotta want it bad, now that I can't help u with, u gotta dig deep within for that part.

That old way of doing things is over, the millennial generation is changing the game, because we want freedom. Nobody want to get up and go to the same building for 50 years str8 ... That's called insanity

But your way may not be right for everyone either... :yeshrug:

you said "I've taken a lot of Ls" to some people those same "L's" could be near fatal. Some people grow up with so little that stability for 50 years is a break from a childhood where instability was certain. You've made it this far (and I'm not trying to put you down...I see some of the bullshyt that people do to attack you on here) but some people have had it way worse. Getting good grades and getting into a college could be someone's "dream" just like your dream of entrepreneurship and time freedom.

Going to college isn't inherently stupid...working for someone isn't inherently bad. It depends on the situation. Some people become Doctors or Lawyers, open their own private practice, work for themselves, make millions of dollars per year, have a career they love and you can't do that in this country without going to school.

The moral is, follow your happiness. But that doesn't mean the "Dr.X" way is right (or wrong) because each individual is in charge of their own happiness. I'll be 30 this year, have had the same career for 5+ years, have tried and failed on some entrepreneurial stuff on the side (:manny: still trying and working out the kinks) and am working toward building my happiness. But it doesn't happen without discipline, a plan, and resources. Sometimes you sacrifice for those resources (money) by working for someone.

I agree with the "don't let anyone kill your dream" but not everyone has the same dream as you. Not everyone wants to "roll the dice" and "take some L's" to get their dream. To some people who may be introverted, less adventurous, or just tired of being in really bad situations, those ideas sound like nightmares rather than dreams. Everyone is different.

Fair enough I appreciate your perspective.... That was well thought out and unemotional... No negs, no threats of physical violence... This is how adults respond

All parents are stupid, brehs...
All parents aren't successful, brehs...
All parents give bad advice, brehs...
All old people give bad advice, brehs...

Aren't you older than most of us? Why should I listen to anything you say? :troll:

Speak for your own shytty household, breh. And to be fair, I'm a fairly pessimistic person but it has worked me. :yeshrug:Maybe your motivational poster speeches will work for someone on this forum. :ehh:

Not necessarily...

It's most who have realized their mistakes in life and will share what they would do differently with you and their experiences..

It's up to you to sort through the bullshyt.
:russ:

If this was a MJ expression it'd be one of the most used on this site :pachaha:

How long before you post another thread about how your life's reality has humbled you? :francis:

Honestly, you post like a breh w an undiagnosed mental illness. But do you.

Edit - You always say you shouldn't listen to older folks but then get mad people won't share experiences and knowledge with you. Which is it, B?
