It's been 15 months already for the XBOX One and PS4. Every goddamn company should be held responsible for this bullshyt, this is fukking ridiculous. Everything from hardware to software has been either broken, overpriced, or filled with annoying issues. The Halo master chief collection was the last straw for me. Enough is enough, people are spending too much money on this shyt. I owned a PS4 for a while, now have an xbox one...problems all over the place. This is not even an argument about quality of the titles released, but functionality. Too much money is being spent on shyt that doesn't work as expected.

The Wii U off to a slow start, no 3rd party support yet again. Nintendo again with their stubborn ways, abysmal sales partly due to the naming of a "successful" predecessor which pissed off the hardcore crowd. Launching an 8GB model? The hardware sales for this console will never be strong as a result, I expect new Nintendo hardware talked about as early as this e3.

The XBOX One AWFUL reveal which microsoft revealed a GAME console and only talk about features and other bs gamers didn't really care about. On top of that? DRM bullshyt that put them on fire, Mattrick being removed, and then a complete reversal on many of their bullshyt policies. Less powerful hardware than the PS4 AND required kinect initially bundled in for $500, its obvious as to why they started off slow. Power of "the cloud" bullshyt has been nothing but a smokescreen as games actually INSTALL faster when you are not connected to "the cloud". Ironically I think the xbox one had the best games in 2013-2014.

Rather slow start for the PS4 when it comes to great games and PSN issues.
This is a tough one because most consoles launch with a weak lineup, but the PS4 was going up against a front loaded assault by the XBOX One and Nintendo having their great 1st party titles. 2015 seems like it will be Sony's year when it comes to games

Ubisoft...I don't even have to get into detail with this damn company :comeon:
AC Unity - Trash, Broken
Watch_Dogs - Underwhelming
Ubi games on PC - Unoptimized BS

343 Studios - Halo Master Chief collection is STILL broken, its FEBRUARY and the most important release so far in the xbox one's lifetime.

Even NVIDIA deserves some flack for the 970 fiasco...watch the video below for more.

NOBODY should be pre-ordering shyt right now, not hardware, not software...nada. This IMO has been the worst start of a generation I can ever remember. You have people that have invested anywhere between $1000-$4000 to be ready for this entire generation and have been treated like shyt, this is the kind of shyt that can cause a crash. The industry can't continue to go on with these issues, you are burning the enthusiastic crowd.

For those old enough to remember, Atari had similar issues with software that caused people to turn away. I almost look at this in the same way...you can't consistently release $60 titles in a beta state or charge a yearly fee for services that go down or don't work as advertised. Simple ddos attacks take these networks down and these are the companies that are charging you guys a yearly fee to play online.

Quality control needs to be raised, from what I know Nintendo is still the best with this. They don't allow publishers to ship titles that are in broken states such as Ubisoft and 343 have done this generation.

Battlefield 4 was also broken at launch.

i think if nobody had a problem with that crazy DRM shyt, MS would be a lot further along right now. while it was a sucky plan, it was a plan and they were apparently the only ones who even had one. im assuming they ended up having to rework everything and it set everything back.

i believe sony totally wasnt ready. if you look back at their promo most of it dealt with capitalizing off of the MS fiasco, and not letting them get a lead. they really played on the fervor and it worked.

look at it now, its all kind of evident what went down. couple this with the fact that these current boxes are technically the end result of removing features last gen. you cant do anything with these new joints until they say you do.

I agree. I've been stuck in first person view since the gen started :what:

The best games that dropped all came out on last generation already.

And the most anticipated games are sequels of last gen titles with graphical upgrades... can't even get a tech jump with the frames per second. 1080p/30fps is not what was hyped going into this gen. Destiny is the only game that I've put mad time in that's not on PC so far this gen. And even with that game, I'm still disappointed that it's only 30fps

I truly believe Microsoft would be in the lead this generation if they didn't come with all this aggressive ass DRM and not forcing Kinect on people. They had a better start to this generation when it comes to games and how the OS operates. It really is a shame when you think about it, but a humbling experience for future game companies to not get too comfortable. This audience will be willing to put up with a whole lot of BS, but step too far and

why? They can easily patch games on day one or day 120 and as long as they push for this "digital future" what can people do about it? The money is in the bank already :win:.

You push for people to buy digital only and you're pretty much supporting the state of quality control (or lack of) in gaming these days because you can't easily get your money back.

Microsoft and Sony should impose some sort of fine for issues like this. 1st party studios? Face possible termination.

Digital or Physical is a non-issue here, you have to hold people accountable for shyt like this.

With all of the "broken" games refunds were easy to come by.

Most people just didn't take advantage of them cause they wanted to keep playing the games
