Like way way more than it use to be.. I'm from the DMV where it has always been very multi culture but I've been feeling a shift in power lately...

Also I deliver with the Amazn flex on the weekends and they have me going to some of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city to drop of packages..(I'm talking where every home is 600k and up)


And no lie every other house I go to is a Lee,Ming, or Tan..I wondering where is all of this money coming form..and how did all of these Chinese people get here

Is this the shyt Trump has been warning us about? And have y'all noticed the same in you city/state?

There is actually a housing crisis going on because of Chinese investors buying a lot of high price homes here in the US.

Basically people who have wealth in china do not feel comfortable putting their money into Chinese investments. So a lot of new money Chinese are buying up real estate left and right in the US and Canada. A lot of times they don't even live in the home and simply sit their money in the property and hope to sell it for a profit. They even hire people to basically live in the homes so they don't get I trouble with owning an unoccupied home.

Unfortunately this has led to skyrocketing real estate prices all over the country due to Chinese demand. More than likely what you're seeing is the effect of that.

I'm from MD...and it wasn't THAT many Asians here when I was growing up..its possible I just never paid attention but that's why I made the thread to see if its just me or if anyone else has noticed it too..

And shut the h3ll up with that wanna be from dc shyt... The area is called the DMV per the radio stations per the Metro per anybody from here the past 50 years. And it fits what I'm talking about in the op... If I'm filling out an application of course in not going to write I'm from the dmv so miss with that elitism

China has the second most millionaires in the world. Some of them have either relocated here or purchased assets here for their children who were already here. Don't forget Asian-Americans have found a lot of success here.

Hold old are you cause I feel like the Asian wave started in my generation (I'm early to mid 20's). But there's schools in Montgomery County that's like 50% Asian (Thomas Wooton). Nova got a rack of Asians too

To be honest, if there is an value to trumps trade antagonism this would be the place to put some force on the Chinese. Tax the hell out of Chinese homebuyers and non citizens. That would be a "great deal". shyt is getting ridiculous. There will be a point that Americans can't afford a home due to this.

But surprise surprise. Jared and ivanka had a meeting with Chinese businessmen to make it EASIER to buy real estate in the US. Since their family is in real estate and they make money off Chinese buyers.

Expect to see more and more Chinese op!

No elitism here but my point stands people from md or va say the dmv why not just say you've been seeing a lot of Asians in Maryland lately huh op
