Ive seen this movie about 20x and watched both seasons of the Anime series..there is a ghost in the shell:snoop: dude doesn't know what he's talmbout..he should watch the TV series

How is so? I thought Ghost in the Shell was pretty blatant when it came to discrediting "individuality" and "the soul".

not sure about the idea of the soul but I did like that he brought up that machines and humans will merge considering we have a shared evolution. It is happening now in it's very basic levels I can't wait to see what happens when we get to 2029.

What it boils down to is being being possessed by technosorcery and trying to rationalize through philosophy their deconstruction as human beings and their rebirth as a robot. People really up here talking themselves out of living.

Its so demonic, friends.

They are miserable :pachaha: but a lot of it addresses our possible transhumanist future. GiTS is kind of prophetic already, that Russian billionaire guy is already working on downloading consciousness into computers :wow:

Uploading consciousness into a computer is not really YOU though. I think these people have a misunderstanding that when they upload their conciousness, that they go to sleep and then wake up in a robot body. No, friend. You can upload your consciousness into a computer and still be alive. All you've done is upload a Copy of yourself.

I feel transhumanism is are how intellectuals deal with depression and feelings of low self worth.

Eventually human beings will use technology to transcend our mortal coil, friend. It's unavoidable unless some catastrophic event reset our civilization to zero. And it's going to happen faster than you think :yeshrug:

Not in our lifetime. The only way you as yourself will stay alive is if your Brain is integrated with a computer of some kind. You cannot go from brain to computer and maintain your experience as you live it now. Even Robocop kept his brain.

Not in our lifetime.

It's already started on some level, friend. Legless athletes using carbon fiber leg implants to drive them faster, gene therapy, eye and ear implants for the deaf. It won't be too long before the first human-computer biological interface is made :shaq2: remember how far the internet has come in 30 years?

Not during our lifetime, but possibly during our childrens.
