Now that im older and understand media propaganda and also who REALLY runs the rap game it makes perfect sense as to why Bone, who at one point in time was the hottest hiphop (and arguably act PERIOD) act on the planet, breaking records held by The Beatles, and winning Grammys to seemingly disappearing off the map.
What I believe happened was that Bone who gave us kid-friendly songs like Thuggish Ruggish Bone, Me Killa, Mo Murder, Weed Song, Foe the Love Of Money and Shoot Em Up( this was for the soundtrack to a movie about boxing by the way) began to mature and wanted to pull away from the demonic, quiji board, bodybag- filling, thuggin on da corner, shotgun blastin image that they had made for themselves. The label (old white & jewish men) said "absolutely not, continue with the thug image or your days of being rich & famous will be over.
It cant be a coincidence that Bone's most positive single came out near the end of their peak:
To sum it up: The Powers That Be DID NOT want BONE influencing the black youth in a positive way

You are aware that these labels controls these rappers' images and the content that they put out right? Do u think Young Thug could release an album on his current label if he rapped about going to college and the importance of supporting black businesses
Did Atlantic Records Tell Rapper TI that they Wanted Him to be a Violent...:
....Comin' in here i knew it was going to be some ole " they didn't want something positive to flourish" bs...

Dr. Umar Johnson Explains the Affect of Propaganda on the BLACK Mind:

Do i blame the Waltons for "taking advantage" of the powerless and paying. extremely low wages versus their personal income? Or do i blame the peoplet hat shop at Wal Mart for puttin money in their pockets, and the people who TAKE those jobs? It's a relationship....At the end of the day Young Thug produces income...so do i blame the Record Labels or the people who buy it? And if you at a point in your life where the lyrics in songs motive your actions directly its too late for you already. I understand where you are coming from and once upon a time had a similar train of thought....Iv'e come to believe the world is a lot more similar than what we make it out to be.

If conscious music REALLY SOLD the record companies would do it...cause they want money...and w/ the internet you can EASILY find conscious music....ignorance is a CHOICE in 2015.

:laff:@ thinking Tomika Wright REALLY ran shyt

She didn't run shyt that was the problem when they were signed to Ruthless numb nuts, no promotion plus shytty contracts. That's why Bizzy wasn't doing shyt.

But they were ruined because they were being positive, you are so spot on with that breh, its not the crappy music they put out, or them associating themselves with yes man and snakes, nah that had nothing to do it, it was them trying to send a positive vibe to the world.

Keep fighting the good fight breh, you know exactly what went wrong

So its too late for all the youth who was putting blond streaks in their hair a couple years ago like Wiz?:patrice:

Ignore everything else i said eh? And im going to ASSUME you are talking about gangster music influencing the youth to be gangsters? If thats the truth lol at comparing someone getting a hair style( Yes artists influence hair style and fashion....but to compare that to gang baging and gang culture? :skip:)

Like i said i get where your coming from, looking for someone to blame....Im a believer we are products of our environment, whether it be for the good or bad, and music is such a small variable.
