“As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life. I don’t think it is more dangerous than alcohol," Obama told Remnick.

Doesn't mean anything.

Marijuana is not going to be legalized, at the federal level, any time soon. And definitely not while Obama's in office...he's said himself that he doesn't intend to pursue that. And of course the GOP controlling the House would put a stop to anything like that anyway.

He is the second high level politician that has basically said weed is not dangerous and it's not a big deal.. thats a big thing to say the president is on your side of the debate

GOP states are now sponsoring legislation for instate tuition for non-documented immigrants. If the political winds change they'll change.

We gonna need the hemp industry back in order to recover from our national debt, beleedat

don't know if it save the national debt..... but it is hilarious and disgusting that politicos are trying to grasp hemp/MJ for the tax benefits in an economic downturn, but were quick to say the plant had no value and was a detriment when the economy was in overdrive........ I'll let the economists and historians have at it, but its amazing to me

employers could test for it and are testing for it in employees while working or during applications. if its legalized, i dont think employers should test for it, except for in certain circumstances, even though it would be their right to do so.
Real talk. I dont that employers should test for anything imo.

maybe some of the hard stuff for insurance and other reasons but job performance should trump a positive test for weed. if its not affecting the workplace environment or resulting in poor performance then it shouldnt matter at all
