The Marshall Mathers LP was 1 of the most popular albums in the 2000s, is it a top 25 Hip Hop album?

No one who was around back then can deny this album's impact at the time.
But the question is, is it a top 25 Hip Hop album tho?

Not top 25 all time. I’d say it’s prob top 25 of its time tho, 2000-2010. The replay value is low AF and I’ve found that with all Em’s albums. once I bought them, played the shyt out of them for a few months but I don’t go to Em when I’m thinking of random old albums to play especially from that era.

See how y'all saying no to this.... and I agree...
Take a look around at a lot of the popular albums of today that get labeled a classic today and use this album was a guide
This album is a great example of an album of an album that was popular at the time it came out but has aged like a peanut butter n jelly sandwich for the most part
I was listening to some songs off of it the other day and it was cringe worthy :scust:
A huge part of the problem was Eminem's subject matter.
Eminem could rap his ass off but so much of his subject matter was shock value that he didn't leave a lot of room for much else.

It didn't age too well mostly due to the shock value raps.

Eminem show is his most listenable album today even tho people felt like it was a fall off at the time.
