They still are an all-time great team (who're still writing their legacy). :manny:

Are the cavs an all time great team as well?

No. Not at this stage anyway.
So Gil thinks the warriors is an all time great team but not the cavs that beat them :jbhmm:
So my question is if either team is an all time great team. If no which one is closer to that lofty status. @Gil Scott-Heroin I let you explain further breh. Are you talking strictly this year or the last two years? And why aren't the cavs also an atg if they beat the dubs?

To me it's because the Warriors followed a championship season (in which they won 67 games/tied for 6th greatest winning % in league history, #1 ORTG and DRTG) with a 73 win season and were a few possessions away from a repeat. They have had a historic stretch of basketball being arguably the best team in the league on both sides of the floor for periods of time.

If the Cavs came come out strong next season riding off the momentum of this postseason run, Kyrie stays healthy and they can replicate their success to some degree then you would have to put them in that conversation. But it's a bit too premature now.

Do I think they'll wind up there eventually? Hell yeah, because LeBron is that good and Kyrie is that nice and they have some great role players around those two studs. But lets see what happens next year.

But they both went to the finals two years in a row and split the chips:yeshrug: They both got one. One team won a record 73 games which is very impressive:ehh: The other BEAT a 73 win team which is more impressive:ld:

And they have yet to beat a healthy Cavs team. If Kyrie doesn't miss 27 games. Cavs would have won 65 games easily as well.

Warriors are definitely an all time great regular season team. Playoffs....meh.

I've said all along that I don't thing the Warriors are THAT talented....but when curry is on :wow:

This cleveland team isn't an all-time great team.

Replace kerr with a sensible coli poster and the warriors win game 7 :manny:

They did split, but the Warriors have been by far the better team for the totality of both seasons. They were not playing at an all time level last season in contrast to this postseason where everything really began to click while the Warriors have been on this level for two years. Consistency means a lot

So lets see what the Cavs do next year, and for that matter lets see how Golden State bounces back as well.

We gonna get to the bottom of this for you:obama:
I'll leave this here and wait for a answer breh :ohhh:

The Cavs and Warriors have accomplished the same thing in 2 seasons. A finals win and a finals loss. GS won a record 73 games, Cavs were the 1st team to come back from being down 3-1 and did it against a 73 win team... And your telling me ones a atg and one is not?

2 seasons.
All those wins.
1 title.

Nothing else matters.

How can you be an all-time great team if you didn't win the chip?

1998 Minnesota Vikings, 15-1, set the scoring record at the time. No chip.
2007 New England Patriots, 16-0, set the scoring record at the time. No chip.
2001 Seattle Mariners, 116-46, set the wins record. No chip.
1996 Detroit Red Wings, 62 wins, set the season points record with 131. No chip.

Nobody talks about a collective set of years and tries to point to 1 of them and argue that it makes them the best.
When people talk about the Bulls, it's the 96 Bulls. It's not the 96 to 98 Bulls.
When people talk about the Bears, it's the 85 Bears. It's not the 84 to 88 Bears.
When people talk about the Yankees, it's the 27 Yankees. It's not the 27 to 32 Yankees.

Stop :cape:

Your heroes lost.
Deal with it.

What the fukk is this a few possession away from a chip. :pachaha:
nikkas seriously in here giving them credit for almost winning a chip :dead:

That's like sayin Bron was a few possession or a brick shot away from being up 3-0 on the warriors last years, or 2 injuries away from winning back to back, you don't get brownie point from almost winning or showing up ask Bron himself :pachaha:

not me breh. i said kerr was overrated before the playoffs. he does a lot of dumb sh*t

i mean it's pretty much a consensus that he lost the series...not taking anything away from Kyrie and Lebrons epic performances, but Kerr gave this series away with the worst lineups ever.
