This should be a nice break from film discussion and open debate for some of the greatest tv shows of all time. If you have any ideas for Top 10 lists we should do this year, please post them in the Top 10 List Discussion Thread. Voting for this list ends in 2 weeks leaving 2 weeks to discuss before the next list starts.

Here are the rules:

• Post your Top 10 TV Shows of All Time and Top 5 Current Favorite Shows (That are still airing new episodes)
• All lists must be numbered.
• Top 10 TV Shows MUST be a completed series (Except for Simpsons, South Park, Law & Order, and Family Guy since they will probably go on forever). Any shows still airing new episodes can go in your Top 5 Current Shows list.
• You can include shows that are airing the final season (like Mad Men) in your Top 10.
  
• You can include shows like American Horror Story and True Detective that have an entirely new story or cast every season.
• No Reality Shows, Game Shows, News Programs, Dating Shows, etc. Let's keep it strictly Sitcoms, Dramas, Cartoons, etc.
• Honorable Mentions can be posted, but I wont be tallying them. Just post your Top 10 and Top 5 Current.

Here's how the tallying system works...

1. = 10 points
2. = 9 points
3. = 8 points...

and so on. So make sure you put the shows you really want to make the final list at the top of your list before voting ends.

I've also added a poll to see how popular TV is in the Film Room to help decide future list topics. Daps and Reps for all participants as usual.

Me too. I'm gonna try my hardest to keep Full House and Ghostwriter on my Top 10, but I'm sure I'm missing a few great shows.

I thought of you when I made that rule. I know your list will be 90% foreign shows I've never heard of.

I'd still love to see your list even if it doesn't get included. I'm always down to check out new shows. We'll see what kind of backlash that rule gets. If enough people want foreign shows to be included I might nix that rule for ya'll.

I'm tryna make it fair breh. You can't be a greatest show of all time if no one has seen how the series has ended yet. Does that not make sense to you?

Also, foreign shows should be seperate for now since most of us won't have heard of them minus a few popular ones. Like I said though, if enough people dispute that rule, I'll take it out.

basically, cause if I only saw the first 4 seasons of the Wire I woulda thought that there was no way it woulndt be a top 3 show for me....even OZ, if it had a stronger last season coulda been up there for me....and dont even get me started on Lost (which I woulda put there if not for that last season....)
