The CW Wants to Make a New "Star Trek" Series

Try not to freak out, guys. This is just the slightest indication that
Star Trek may return to television, and it's admittedly hard not to get excited. The CW president Mark Pedowitz said he wants to bring back the franchise to his network. While the movies have been crushing it, the airwaves have been devoid of
Star Trek since
Enterprise ended in 2005.
"As a life-long
Star Trek fan, I would hope to have
Star Trek at The CW," Pedowitz said in a press tour.
Unfortunately, his next line basically told us not to get ahead of ourselves.
"[But] I have heard no discussion about it going out as a TV series at all," he added.

CBS owns half the CW, so it's possible.
