While Meek Mill didn’t make his way to Funk Flex’s radio show as planned, there was another event taking up Rap Twitter’s attention. Talib Kweli and ESPN personality Bomani Jones tweeted a whole lot of words about the latter’s feelings towards the former over a two hour period. Accusations of subtweeting, shade and general disrespect were abound.
It all started with a random, innocent tweet.
Bomani had a strong opinion about this.
Talib found this disrespectful.
This tweet from 2009 was then brought to Talib’s attention.
He was not pleased.
Someone then explained to Talib how subtweeting works. He still didn’t appreciate the sentiment.
Bomani, for his part, stuck to his guns.
And we’ve learned a new lesson in Twitter etiquette.
Talib then closed with the following set of tweets.
Which seemed fine by Bomani.
So remember folks, if you’re going to disrespect someone on social media, be ready to answer for your opinion directly.
