1. Tennessee (13-0; 8-0) – SEC Champion (defeat Auburn in SEC Championship Game); best wins: Alabama (10-2) and Auburn (10-3)
2. Georgia (8-4; 5-3) – losses to Notre Dame, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Auburn
3. Florida (6-6; 4-4) – losses to Michigan, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia, Missouri, and Florida State
4. Missouri (6-6; 3-5)
5. South Carolina (6-6; 3-5)
6. Vanderbilt (5-7; 3-5)
