Steven Universe. This show is pretty deep. Some of the best story telling right now.

I love how the episodes build directly on each other and the mystery surrounding everything. Also the issues it dealt with and the execution were :sadcam: a lot of times.

Also love the fact that that the show is really diverse. The main supervising director was Ian Jones-Quartey. Although I think he's stepped to the side as of last month to focus on other projects.

Estelle along with a Filipino and Korean women are the voices of the main Crystal Gems.

I hope the show doesn't call off with that breh stepping aside though.

This and Teen Titans Go! are some of the most entertaining shows right now, period.

Hard to summarize, because I haven't been able to catch it form the first episode yet.

But I think the kid (Steven) on that show is the son of one of the Crystal Gems, an alien race who were great warriors and protected Earth from an invasion, and a human father. However, Steven's mother was I think the greatest warrior of all of them but she died giving birth to Steven. Only his dad and the other Crystal Gems are there to raise him. But they all loved his mother a ton and describe her to him throughout the show.

His dad gives him lessons on being a human, while the three other Crystal Gems teach him more about lessons pertaining to combat and his abilities. But the Crystal Gems have emotions that they deal with regularly as well. Everyone is trying to help raise Steven pretty much, all while going through their own issues both personally and with each other.

There is a lot of suspect relationships on that show. That pearl chic is petty much in love/ obsess with Steven Mom who hooked up with Steven dad. Garnett is two chicks that are in love and fused into 1 :skip:

And so on and so on

I don't believe they're trying to be suspect about anything breh.

They and pretty much a lot of cartoons today really just put shyt out in the open.

That's entirely up to how you want to raise your kids mane. :handshake:

I'm just trying to talk about the show and see if cats enjoy it.
As far as the show its a really good show. They explore a lot of concept that are pretty deep for a kid show. Like the one where his ma left the tape in the lion. Or the one where Pearl [Psycho] was training Steve girlfriend and she unravled.

I kinda have to agree, the themes of the show are very mature, maybe a little too much for a kids show, I mean it's cool to explore feelings of love and loss but fusing to me almost seems like a replacement for sex, because in order to do it, you have to have a chemistry with the other person, and then you have to do a 'dance' and then the two shall become 1 entity, then after they split there is this great wave of emotion. But I also see themes of self discovery and eschewing traditional gender roles for a more freeflowing idea of what relationships are.
