Whattup nikkaz? It's Satan's son up in this bytch and I'm sure a thread like this popped before but I ain't seen one in a minute, so without further adue here's mine and I look forward to reading yours:
A$AP Rocky is no second coming of anything. Dude's a great rapper but he's a complete swag rapper and nothing more, you won't be getting no Rakim or Jay like joints from this nikka. He's sticking to his lane and there's nothing wrong with that.
Speaking of Jay-Z, while dude is definitely a legend and makes a good case for being the GOAT, he only ever had one classic. Reasonable Doubt is the shyt and top 5 all time fo sho b. But it ain't like nikka stay dropping classics. The closest to get there was The Black Album which is near classic while The Blueprint was good but overrated. Problem is nikka can still drop a classic if he wanted to but he won't cause he don't care no more. but I ain't mad at him
Nas' Hip Hop Is Dead is a great album, "Who Killed it?" is severely underrated
Ether is still the best diss track of all time. But The Takeover is the better song. That beat
There was only one loser in the Nas/Jay beef and that's Prodigy, nikka still hasn't recovered even though he's had some great guest appearances since.
Kurupt could have been GOAT if it wasn't for a series of horrible decisions
Daz Dillinger is underrated as both a producer and as an MC, same goes for Havoc.
Dr.Dre's best produced album is nikkaz4Life.
MC Ren deserved a better career than he ended up getting, with that said Da Villain In Black is one of the most underrated albums ever. He is the master of what Game and Jay Rock want to be, straight up Gangsta rappers.
Section.80 is better than good kidd m.A.A.d city. It had better production and Kendrick's best verses and songs. But that's mostly cause GKMC was more of a strict concept album, still great though.
50 Cent and Game should finally stop getting they panties twisted and do collabs again. They have better chemistry together than they do with anyone else. Hate It Or Love It is my jam
Eminem is a great MC, but the amount of crap he released destroyed whatever chance he got to be top ten dead or alive.
Few rappers have enough clout to be proclaimed GOAT compared to Ice Cube and Ghostface.
Despite all the props Doom get's, he's still underrated which makes his persona all the more endearing.
2Pac is my GOAT, but he ruined many great songs but putting on rappers as features when those songs would have been much better with him alone, like Hail Mary, Hit Em Up, Only God Can Judge Me etc.
Biggie has the least claim to GOAT out of all the names that are usually thrown at the title, but that's because he only had two albums where one of em was a classic(which doesn't stand up to other classics like Reasonable Doubt and Illmatic and OB4CL).
I'll post more later.
