According to police reports, the Street Fam Crew, the gang is made up of 20 members, all former drug dealers from Fabolous' Brooklyn neighborhood.
The crew became so notorious that FBI agents discussed launching a probe of their crimes, but decided that the robberies didn't rise to the level of organization needed for federal prosecution.
Sources told the Post that Street Family's tactics involve identifying entertainers, athletes and others who are wearing flashy jewelry and ambushing them just outside a club or anywhere they are vulnerable. The victims don't generally report the crimes, sources said.
"These guys have no money," one law-enforcement source told the news outlet about the alleged robbery crew. "They go to New York to get paid, because that's where the money is.

"RUGGO aka Darryl Mckinney got the business for stealing from Detroit promoters and acting as an agent for Fabolous."

Police are investigating Fabolous and his entourage for a car stolen in early January of this year at an upscale Atlanta hotel. According to Channel 2 Action News, Atlanta police claim that Fabolous's crew stole a 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. The rare vehicle was only 1 of the 2 brought into the United States last year.
Surveillance footage shows two members of Fabo's crew approaching the bellman and receiving keys to the Lambo. They then hop in it and drive away as if it was their car and it was just a daily exit for them.Fabolous and the rest of his crew would then follow behind them in a minivan making Fab well aware that they had stolen the car. After some investigation and promising Fab no jail time if he told the location, Fab was quick to snitch and released the details of the car.

Pro basketball star Sebastian Telfair was one of the gang's alleged victims. Fabolous' gang was caught on camera snatching a $50,000 dollar chain right off the neck of the Boston Celtics NBA player Sebastian Telfair. The ballplayer was robbed at gunpoint of a $50,000 gold chain near a parking lot close to Justin's, a Chelsea restaurant owned by Hip-Hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. Fab was shot in the leg in the midst of the altercation and while trying to rush to the hospital was arrested after cops found firearms in his vehicle. Two months before Fabolous was shot, the rapper’s brother Paul Cain, 25, was also wounded in violence suspected to be connected to several other chain snatching incidents.

As previously reported, Fab's long-time pal, 25-year-old Shamel McKinney was stabbed to death during a scuffle at New York club Duvet in the early morning hours of Nov. 23
Authorities originally believed that the knifing took place when McKinney, tried to break up a fight between two women also in Fab's camp. Now, according to the New York Post, police believe McKinney was fatally stabbed while trying to rob another club-goer - the alleged M.O. of his crew Street Family, a group that authorities believe target and rob celebrities at Manhattan hot spots.
Quote:
New York Police linked rapper Fabolous to a crew of robbers who targeted Judah twice. In 2006, three men tried to rob Judah as he stood next to his Lamborghini on West 27th Street at 10th Avenue in New York City. The three men drove up to Judah in a minivan at about 5 am, and came out. One man pulled a handgun on Judah, and told him to put his jewelry on the hood of his car, but Judah ran instead. The muggers followed in their minivan, but crashed into a tree a block away. All three robbers fled the scene, but one was captured by a Homeland Security agent on his way to work, and another was grabbed by a nearby cab driver.

Quote:
On February 24, 2009 Arkansas police seized 500 pounds of marijuana from Fabolous' tour bus as it returned from the NBA All-Star Game. Fabolous was not on board the bus at the time and has not yet been charged in connection with the incident.
Also robbed ex-N.Y. Giants cornerback Frank Walker...

Fab probably runs around with those dudes in case he gets into some beef himself, he would have them there as "protection".
