I used to play a lot of Medal of honour allied assault and counter strike back in the days on a flabby n sick pc and that shyt was dope to me..

What we got on PC these days thats like those two games? Been watching some ARMA videos and it looks good apart from the strict rules on the shyt...

How much am I gonna need to spend to get the best out of the games?

As someone who was really against gaming pc's I'd say yes. Steam makes gaming on PC amazing, and some of the best "indie" or smaller projects are games that dont make it to console at all nowadays since everyone on new age systems has to be Triple AAA titles.

if you want to play Arma 3, get an unlocked Intel CPU and overclock it to over 4ghz. and install the game on a SSD

PC gaming imo nowadays is pretty damn plug and play aside from a few annoyances. I mean shyt, you can pretty much hook ur PC up to the TV and the way Steam and modern games work, controller plugged in to the PC and you pretty much have an ultimate "console" like experience.

Arma is garbage, theres plenty of reasons to cop a gaming pc (biggest is saving money on easily piratable 3rd party games, free online....etc) but Arma is certainly not one of them

If you don't enjoy playing prettier 3rd party console ports, Indie titles, Real time strategy games, MMOs, dated ass Counter Strike, train and farm simulators and other corny nerd sh1t (basically the same type of titles u immediately throw in the bushes when they're offered free on ps plus) then you're better off just copping a console.

Atleast then you'd be able to play AAA exclusives with multi million dollar budgets that rival the film industry.

However, u can always play the types of PC games I mentioned above in 4k with like 6 monitors if that's your thing. Can't play Uncharted 4 or Halo 5 in 4K....

I'm the only ninja on this forum thats gonna be honest with u and keep it all the way 100 (I own a gaming PC and every console on the market except a Wii U)

Everyone else will be coming at you from a stan's perspective fighting tooth and nail for you to join their "clan"

You should def pick up Counter-Strike: Global Offensive if you fukked with 1.6 and/or Source back in the day, game is really seeing a surge in popularity. Indies usually drop on PC for super cheap and a bit earlier than on consoles, MMO's are still really huge, as well as shyt like League of Legends and whatnot. Arma mods like DayZ are really popular too. Being able to mod 3rd party multi-platform games like Skyrim & Fallout give it extra legs(like those games really need it), and having great graphics don't hurt either. If you have a controller you can plug up and play a lot more of the recent games and shyt without a keyboard/mouse too.

It's up to you though, if none of that entices you, a console might just be better suited for you.

pc has no jrpgs, lacks fighting games outside of street fighter and generally just has better looking third party titles. If you are not into mobas or mmos then I don't see the necessity for a high end pc. thats just me
