RUSH HOUR TV ADAPTATION HEADS TO CBS
Do you understand the adaptation that is coming out of my mouth?

A few days back, we reported that a TV show based on the Rush Hour movie franchise, which starred Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, was in currently development at Warner Bros. Television.
Now EW.com is reporting the series has found a home at CBS - who has given the project a pilot production commitment. The Rush Hour series hails from Cougar Town co-creator Bill Lawrence and Cougar Town producer/writer Blake McCormick.
Chris Tucker and Jackie Chain in Rush Hour 3.
No surprise, the series will follow the exploits of a "stoic, by-the-book Hong Kong police officer" who is assigned to a case in Los Angeles and is paired with "a cocky African-American LAPD officer who has no interest in a partner."
Lawrence and McCormick will write and executive-produce the action comedy along with original director Brett Ratner, Arthur Sarkissian and Jeff Ingold.

A TV series based on the Rush Hour films is currently in development at Warner Bros. Television.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the films' original director Brett Ratner has signed on as the show's executive producer, along with Rush Hour producer Arthur M. Sarkissian and Jeff Ingold (Like Father). Scrubs and Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence will pen the series alongside Blake McCormick (Cougar Town).
The series is still early on in development, as a network deal has yet to be reached. Jackie Chan recently downplayed talks of Rush Hour 4, saying he must see a good script before he considers making the film.
