Remember when PPV Stages was unique and not the raw stage

Man anyone remember them crazy stages they used to have for every PPV. I was just reading a thread earlier and my man @Lewis Black mentioned how every ppv stage look the same. I think it has to do with time constraints and Vince got lazy.

I couldn't find pics but that armageddon 2000 stage was one of my favs and Unforgiven 2020.

I was thinking that when i saw the stage for the last PPV.. hell, i remember when smackdown has it's own unique stage. i get that having raw & smackdown share the same stage helps keep costs down, but surely they could try abit harder with the PPV stages.

Seeing Payback with red ropes kinda gave it extra points in my head. It reminded me of watching RAW, I don't know why it made it better.

i think WWE feels we are in a "digital era" and replacing actual structures with giant lcd boards looks better on HDtvs at home which i kinda agree with

You have no idea how much I miss this MSG configuration. Entering from the swinging doors with your tron projected onto those doors ALONG with the crowd swarming down upon you made everything seem big time.

Not to mention the MSG crowd. Always hot.

Configuring it for the LED set just isn't the same. Survivor Series 2002 is one of my favorite PPV's JUST for this configuration alone.

The last time WWE used that set at MSG was RAW in November 2009. They need to have more RAWs at the Garden.

The elaborate set up's gave that big time vibe.
