Real Talk... Why do Gamers Pay other Gamers to Play Games (Streaming Discussion)

This has always been to me

And it's getting even bigger due to how easy it is to stream with the current gen consoles. I can't even watch a stream for more than a few minutes before I dip and get into something else. Maybe a fighting game tourney, or an event. But dudes forking over a monthly subscription to watch dudes just play games in their free time?

I commend the streamers for carving out that hustle though and I'm sure it's not easy to maintain a big following, but damn, it makes me think that the gaming community is full of lame ass people


And I'm a gamer, I'm just saying... shyt lame to me.

Dudes always on there, "I love all you followers"... "Thanks for the sub guys"... "I really couldn't do this without you guys"... "Thanks for the donations"

If you check out twitch, you'll see how all the big streamers have subscriptions tabs and links to their PayPal accounts right there... they even have the info up on who donated the most for the day. shyt is wild, and I don't get it.

i can only imagine its the feeling you get being at someone elses house watching them beast on a game you just get amazed and watch. Most games are like movies anyway and these new gamers are too lazy to even play though the whole thing

Its truly is. And then they have all over there screen alerts for new subs, top donations of the day, ads soliciting donations, daily sub goals, music blaring in the background, the streamer just babbling away. Everything but the actual game matters. I mean peep this

You're watching another person play a videogame and talk over it and basically kiss ass the entire time to every follow and sub they get.
