Question For My 30+ Brehs Regarding the NBA

Do you feel like you're gonna give a fukk about the NBA when you're 40? I don't at all. My interest is at an alltime low. Im pretty much at the "wake me up when the playoffs start" phase. I tune in sometimes and have no idea who any but maybe 3 or 4 payers are where back in the day I could name damn near entire rosters. Currently there's literally a handful of players left from my "childhood" Kobe, Duncan, Pierce and Garnett. When they are gon I think ill officially be done as far as having an emotional connection to the game. After them, lll watch a few more years to see what the guys my own age do(LeBron, Melo, Durant). As I get older and the players become younger im just losing interest more and more every year

As long as your local team is relevant at one point close to that age, but you always come back if they do well.

That, and there's gotta be other players in the league worth a damn who can draw you to non-home team games on prime time.

that's pretty much how I felt about the NBA since Iverson fell off and left the league around 2006 or so.


At this point MMA and NFL are more exciting to me than NBA games


I still try to catch the playoffs and finals tho

Its hard to sit through 4 quarters of magic vs rockets compared to 20 yrs ago.For the past 4-5 years I get a bigger thrill playing nba 2k than actually watching a real life regular season game & i have NBA gametime App going to waste. Even 10 yrs ago the league was more poppin than today as far as each star being way more unique & polarizing & not drones like todays stars. I'm on chill mode from Televised BBall until the playoffs starts.

I'm 34 and outside of my squad I could careless about the NBA. I don't even watch games until the playoffs start, and the All-star game has become a joke too. I know a lot of people like to laugh at us "old kneegrows" but sports has changed a hell of a lot in the past 10 years.
