Post Some 2.5D Cover-Based Shooters

I'm looking for some 2.5D cover-based shooters like this game, Not A Hero.



But, I am having trouble finding a game that is half as fun as Not A Hero.

So, if you can post any shooters of this kind for PC or console I'd be appreciative.

This is my favourite shooter right after GoldenEye N64 and CoD: MW2.

It's a shame how they haven't made a new one.

Steam have a Devolver sale right now, I saw it for £1.99 today.

But yeah, the game is flawless and funny at the same time. The hit detection is so precice you need a proper controller like a DS4 or Xbox One controller as you'll need a proper D-pad for the cover-based controls.

9/10 it gets a -1 for not having enough levels but otherwise a hidden gem of a game.

It's the same developer (Devolver). They have a Steam sale on PC right now too.

The game's got it all but it's way too short.

You know what’s funny is randomly I just got a patch download for it on ps4 last week out of nowhere and looks like they did a lot of stuff going by the notes. Haven’t touched it yet though.

Matterfall is far closer to the type of game OP is asking for. Those games aren’t similar at all

2.5D cover-based side scrolling shooters, not that weird overhead angle I hate those type of games the controls always feel "off".

But thnx anyway. I'll give them a chance if they're on tha cheap.


I really need something to fill this Not A Hero fix.

Honestly not a hero is great but it’s fairly unique with its cover based mechanics.

Theirs lot of shmups where you control ships,or top down twin stick shooters but I’m struggling to think of many 1:1 like experiences. Mega man games kind of a little bit but not really

The metal slug games are great and fun as hell. I’ll look around and see if I can find anymore
