I'm actually impressed they were able to perform DNA gene splicing in a cave without any sort of modern tools or microscopes.

I can't see any of those tools working for gene splicing though. I'm picturing some cave dudes living in a blood filled cave for decades smashing blood into wolves with rocks and forceps until they finally figure it out miraculously one day and a corgi appears.

Most breeds are fine.
The breeds that were specifically bred to have higher levels of stress-hormones (I'll let you google it) are not fine.
