Many of those men joined the fight out of hopes of ending the racism and discrimination they were experiencing in the U.S.

and many of them returned after the war was over to find out that racism and discrimination was still at home waiting for them...

But imagine if our people knew fighting in the war would not grant them civil rights and the flag they were carrying was the RBG flag...
