I do try and make it a habit to check peoples reps but sometimes I get dragged into a convo with an idiot

It would be nice to be able to see what others are saying about them

I also think we should be able to vote for bans with people who fall below a rep threshold. U get under 500 legit u are prob a legit idiot

its not your profile so its none of your business really. pretty simple to understand that, no? same as making a twitter or instagram page private.

By this logic we shouldnt be able to see people's post counts, join dates, reps, daps, Coli Cash etc

All those things have always been public .
Reps received, up until recently, were always seen only by the recipient on every forum ever.

Next thing you know, you're going to demand transparency in their outgoing pm box.

What is the logic in making reps/profiles private at all? If there is shyt you want to say that you dont want others to see.... send a private message.

I don't understand why you need to see someone's profile at all. You want access to what their user cp and settings looks like as well? What do you gain from this?

I dont really care about profiles, I just care about reps

It would be good to see if for example a poster is in the red for racist comments, etc. Rep would enable me to see that way faster than searching through all their posts, especially if they are a high volume poster

Or see what their best posts are

Lot of new posters with names I dont recognize.... good to know who to ignore and rep is the fastest way to ascertain that

There should definitely be some sort of consequence for having excessively low rep. Not saying it needs to be high or even average but if your rep is -1000 you should get some kind of punishment.

Incentive to not be a completely awful poster.
