Only God Forgives is the worse film I've seen in years

Seriously, this shyt was just horrendous and boring. There was nothing good about it at all. Nothing.

It's the first time I've seen like half the audience walk out when it wasn't even an hour in yet. I wanted to give it a chance to see if it would pick up, but it seemed to have just gotten worse.

And, no it's not one of those 'so deep, it can go way over ya head...you just have to look beyond the surface' type shyt either, it was just fukking awful and a complete waste of time.

its not deep like morally or with like an ethical stance... but its layered in alot of shet... its like yeezus... its purposely made so people will be repulsed or pissed off at what theyre watching...

but its no where near the worst movie of the year it has some redeemable scenes.

Yeah, I was disappointed. I mean Drive was silly too (the plot), but it's a much better movie.

Watching this, you'd almost think Refn was American. Violence yay, nudity nay! A harmless movie...

I'd probably be offended if I was Jodorowsky. Jodorowsky's worst film is still better than this.

I disagree. Maybe you need watch it a little buzzed to catch what is going on in the movie. I think it's more of a cinematic way of explaining the religion and our conformity to it and it's abuses to the human condition. If a movie doesn't make sense at first I usually sit back and try to figure out what the director is trying to convey through images. Only God Forgives...but really he doesn't. Was the message I was getting.

LOL I'm being serious too. The whole karaoke scene should have queued people in. They were listening to his shyt singing and not making a single facial expression. He brought Old Testament violence on people! LOL Watch it buzzed and you will see some of the slick shyt that was in the movie. They all were personifications of some sort of of sin or religious character.

Yeah that's one way of seeing it. Or you can see it as a man's desire to be punished for his previous sins. The ass whooping he took from that police captain hinted at his sadist personality. And his desire to go back to the only place where he was innocent..his mother's womb. (At the end of the movie)

I thought he was seriously trying to fight the police chief and he just got washed. . I did sorta get the scene with his mom.

The mother was stone fukking crazy. That's why Gosling's character wanted to die the entire movie. He took the young lady out to meet her and man! What a nightmare!
