Next Batman flick to be 'Batman Beyond'?

BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM - Will The Batman on Film Reboot be 'BATMAN BEYOND?' (7.17.13)

an adaptation of the animated TV series BATMAN BEYOND is on the table when it comes to the upcoming Batman on film reboot.

This would not be a continuation of Chris Nolan’s “Dark Knight Trilogy” where Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne mentors Joseph Gordon Levitt’s Batman. (The Nolanverse is done, not coming back, and it's time to move on.) No, it would have nothing to do with the Nolanverse and would feature a dynamic very similar to what we got in the animated TV show. How such a project would fit in a unified DCU on film is unclear.

(If you don't think a solo Batman film series based on BATMAN BEYOND would mesh with a DCU on film -- if there ever is one -- you'd be wrong. The "in his prime" Bruce Wayne Batman could potentially be in a team-up film, while the aged and retired Bruce Wayne Batman would be the version of the same character in the BEYOND solo films. Think "non-linear" -- same Batman, different time periods.)

In the animated TV series – which ran from 1999 to 2001 on The WB (now The CW) television network – an aged Bruce Wayne trains and mentors Terry McGinnis as Gotham City’s (actually called “Neo Gotham” on the show) new Batman. An ongoing BATMAN BEYOND comic book series is currently being produced by DC Comics.

Batman beyond was a good show. My only problem with it especially as a movie is that the villains weren't all that great. The only one that stood out was the chick ink that was prob inspired by clayman

they werent o.g. batmans rogue gallery but terry's rogues gallery wasnt bad, matter fact its probably better than someone like wolverines with his 19-fukking-clones he stays facing off against

I been catching on batman beyond on net flix and I would love this.

That and the Dark Knight Returns has me wanting to see and older batman/passing of the torch movie from batman.

Beyond would be better as a tv show. A movie would rush his training along with the impact of Batman being back Gotham. Make it a "Arrow" type show and keep OG Bruce in the movies...

really? how can you not like that nikka man he's basically peter parker being tutored by batman... son has a slick ass mouth, cool lil asian chick with him, a bad black female robin/oracle and he doesnt take the batman role as seriously as the old man... it was refreshing to me to see a bat pupil that wasnt scared of bruce like that all his other disciples dont even look that man in the eye when they talk 2 him and shyt lol
