New Social Group Feature (Update - Now Added)

Update:

We've installed a completely new social group feature. The old groups will be removed soon so re-create your groups as soon as you can and transfer over any information you want. Unfortunately you'll have to start from scratch.

The new group feature is much improved, most noticeably, the appearance. Your groups will now basically look like their own subforums and threads are identical. Alerts should now function properly and the privacy settings actually work this time.

All groups are private and you must be a member to read them. You have two options when creating a group, "Open" & "Moderate." Open allows people to send requests to join and Moderate makes it so requests have to be approved by a group owner or moderator. If you want the most privacy for your group you should definitely check Moderate.

To invite members to your group, hover over Social Group Tools -> View Social Group Members -> on the right side is an Invite Box

If you have any problems please let me know, this addon has like a million settings in our admin panel so I most likely have some things i'll need to correct.


The new groups can be accessed by the link on the nav bar.

it'll be responsive for better use on mobile. a better layout in general, the groups are laid out similar to subforums so it should make for a better mini community. better privacy...right now shyt can leak pretty easily. the one we have is so buggy and unfinished..this one is polished

is there anyway to add the new one before deleting the old one. It would make the transition a bit easier.
