Think about this: Instead of using Linebacker type-DEs...


.... we could use sprinters!

Imagine... as soon as the ball is in movement, an Olympic caliber sprinter would be in the backfield disrupting the play.... Offensive linemen would be too slow to prevent a pass rush from an Olympic caliber sprinter. I'm sure football has used DBs as down linemen in pass rushing situations before but the sheer speed of an Olympic caliber sprinter would create a unique dynamic in american football........


So what are your thoughts about this idea?
