The electrolytes are.....Gatorade isn't even good for you.
Gatorade isn't even good for you.
I think they do that so they don't provide free product promo. They're only allowed to drink Gatorade and Water on sidelines. LeBron is sponsored by Coke (Powerade) so they just let him remove the gatorade bottle logo on his drinks.
For the average couch person just sipping gatorade like it's water, yes it's not that good for you. But for professional athletes it does provide them value. The amount of strenuous activity during a full game negates whatever sugar they're drinking.
A company is spending millions of dollars per year to advertise on a platform, and you think there are no statutes in place to prevent their competitors from getting completely free advertising on the platform their spending millions in attempt to control? They can drink whatever the hell they want. Most times it's water in those non-see through Gatorade and Powerade bottles, anyway. But there can't be any logos present other than those of the league sponsor. This doesn’t seem like an enforceable rule. Do they even have the legal right to make such a rule? If a nikka wants to drink apple juice, he can’t? I don’t know about that.

That's ONLY Gatorade "G2" that claims to have electrolytes. The electrolytes are.....

This is hardly new. All the way back to the NFL stopping Jim McMahon from wearing an Addidas logo on his headband in the 80's or athletes not wearing their teams jerseys in their shoe ads because the league/team jersey sponsor is different from who they have their personal apparel deals with.
LeBron is never wearing his NBA gear in Powerade ads
