its a long game my nikka.... my father showed me the way that entrepreneurship is the only way out from under the white man's boot.... economic self-reliance is the only solution and that takes WORK.
I'm not one of these nikkas who feel good cause Im making a bit of money and can do what I want.... because I know the MAJORITY cant do that.... it makes me sad when our people have to turn around and ask the descendants of those who raped, murdered, and enslaved us - to offer them education and economic opportunities.
I never had to turn around and ask a white person for anything in my life cause my pops put in the work for me.... and I'm not gonna have my children and grand children and the next generation looking at me like "nikka you made all this money and didn't put anything in place for us? we gotta go ask these fukking crackers for opportunity cause you weren't thinking of the future".... that would mean I failed on my mission.
black people been making millions for some time now..... we shouldn't be at the mercy of white people in order to feed ourselves, educate ourselves, protect ourselves etc
we're too individualistic..... everyone else is thinking as a team and exploiting us as a collective....
It starts with yourself, then your family, and then beyond... you gotta free yourself from the chains, then free your family and the web grows... its a slow process, but I believe in it... cause theres no other way.......... we have two choices.... freedom or servitude

Salute to you. You having your father there to show you shyt really helped. It's not just having a father, it's also having a father that's woke and has the right information to give. We as blacks get trapped because a lot of us only have one parent and even if we have both they still may not have the information needed for us to be successful. You might have a father like Blac Youngsta who's just showing you how to spend money, but not showing you how to save. Sometimes I kick myself in the ass when I think back to before I was woke and all the dumb shyt I did with my time and money. But I never had the information I have now. I had to go find it. I had to struggle and go through shyt to learn it on my own. If I ever have any kids I wouldn't want them to go through the harsh realities and struggles just to get that information. All that time could just go straight into building.
But you're right we're very individualistic, but it's almost like we have to be considering the dog eat dog mentality we have and our circumstances due to systematic racism.
I refuse to give up on black people.

funny thing is, my pops was very sleep until he graduated college and got into the workforce and began working for the white man..... he seen what it was and abandoned that shyt..... started his own shyt.
he used to be one of those negros who believed in "go to the white mans school... and ask him for a nice job and live happily", then he got into the corporate plantation and realized that "you just a nikka" and you can't boss up.... so instead of depending on the white man for opportunity, he created his own.... and because he put in the work, I was able to bypass the white man entirely.... no degree, no job, and in a better position mentally and financially than I would be if I was at the mercy of these white folks who would pay me scraps and treat me like shyt...
its possible bro.... but mentor-ship is important.
I listen to Dr. Boyce Watkins a lot... thats like one of my OGs... its plenty of black folks out here building... its just gonna take some decades to truly see the progress take effect tho.

As much as the "white people are the enemy" rhetoric gets spewed around here, they actually aren't. At least not all of them. White people will at least hire you at a lot of places (except Jews). It's the arabs, asians, indians, and hispanics not looking to hire us, EVER! They stick amongst themselves, but they'll hire any other type of person before they hire us. We're the last option to them. I've worked over 20+ jobs and possibly have done more than 30-40+ job interviews and it's the white man or woman that usually hires me. It's the Hispanics, Arabs, Jews, Indians I faced the most discrimination with. Like no matter how impressive I was in the interview and how well qualified I am, I never get that call back by them, ever. And you know the funny thing about it? These people are jealous of us. Cuz only us black people can make millions of dollars and become hot shyt being rappers, athletes and entertainers. How many famous arab basketball/football players are there? Or famous asian actors/actresses compared to blacks? They envy us because they know what we're capable of. While some of they're families are struggling to get by with their laundromats, bodegas, and food stands, rappers like Meek and Future are out here stunting like Mayweather throwing money away on bullshyt. We got the more ignorant types like Blac Youngsta with all this money and still stupid as ever and that's gotta be frustrating to anyone watching.
I think people really need to understand the bolded. There are a lot of white people in corporate america that want diversity not only in their general employee pool but even in the leadership ranks. By diversity, they mean black people. White people like outgoing extroverted and outspoken individuals, and a lot of black people in corporate america fit that bill. At my old firm (a large, 22 billion revenue, financial professional service hub), all the black senior managers that I know of were promoted to partner.
In each start class in my area, there are maybe 5 black people in 300-400 person start class that is almost half/half Asian and white. 1 out of every 100 person in a start class has a shot at becoming partner. Going by chance, there shouldn't be 3 black partners promoted in one year, but it happened. Also, There should be more Asian partners than black partners just because of the Asians sheer numbers in the beginning. However, the number of Black partners is vastly larger than the number of Asian partners.
Additionally, I know a lot more Black people in top leadership positions here in this area than Asians. There are a lot more Asians here in the local general populations than black people, so it's not driven by random chance. Black people are more effective leaders than Asians.
I know a lot of Chinese small business owners, and they never hire black people. They will hire a ton of Mexicans, and a ton of their own kind, but they will never hire Black people. I even heard a Chinese business owner say she will not hire Blacks because they are lazy.
This is a good analysis. Unfortunately I agree for the most part.The very fact that we have been told for decades to do things that with other groups comes natural indicates a very serious social issue.
The advent of gangsta/thug culture only complicates things. There is now a considerable amount of youth that has simply tuned in and tuned out and are in a zombie like state.
I often think about the mindset that our ancestors must have had to accept themselves as slaves and inferior and I think there may be common parallels with the mind state of many of our people today.
What really needs to happen is for conscious blacks to drop the egos, unify amd build TOGETHER. We need to establish our own communities and lead by example. Right now the bar is set so low that many blacks of high consciousness are just as passive,weak, complacent and confused as their less awakened peers. We spend too much of our time trying to convince the less awakened to do better and reiterating age old talking points. It is too easy for us to rant and critique each other with YouTube videos and Instagram posts. The real work requires dropping heavy egos, cooperation, intellectual labor, physical labor, blood, sweat, and tears. Most us (referring to those who are woke) are afraid of one or more of the above feats.

It's tough keeping hope in the black community, especially after seeing videos like the grown a ass black man gangbanging on some lil kids. There seems to be no hope for those on the grimy hoods, but at the same time I done see gang members and drug dealers change their lives around.
