He appeared In the pilot, it was a prequel to elm street Film..then the rest of the eps he just introduced spinoff segments..made the occasional troll like appearances.

Before everyone freaks out (too late) take a chill pill, relax and find the other article about this where the company who makes the masks says that they haven't been contacted yet but it doesn't mean that they won't be contacted in the future. So as of now, with however many episodes they've shot, and it could be 1 or 2 for all we know, there is no ghostface but it doesn't mean there won't be period. IGN's article and the i09 article make that pretty clear:

So no Ghostface? Maybe. Also, perhaps this TV series isn't as far along as Wes Craven and friends would like us all to think. There's no reason they can't sort all this out before they actually go into production.
