Lowkey Johnny was the realest cat in the entire film. When he died five minutes into part two, even as a kid I knew we were in for some trash. :snoop:

That's the shame about the next movie if it indeed happens now since the director left the project: that first cast was perfect across the board. When I saw Robin Shou in that wack ass Chun Li movie it made me :ohhh: Liu Kang can't be in street fighter. He's always Liu to me. Linden Ashby will always be Johnny Cage to me. The movie just did everything right. This movie is the reason Kano is now Australian in the damn video games.

When that theme played!

Arcade was right across from the theater and everyone spilled out and played MK2 after

Now that I look at it, it was cheesy as fukk for the announcer to say "Reptile." But back in '95, the whole theater went CRAZY and I couldn't get enough of that movie

Shyt is heat rocks. It streamlined the mortal kombat mythology into an workable movie. When that announcer said "reptile" yes the entire theater lost their shyt. And he was giving Liu that work.

Johnny Cage: kitana went this way. I can smell her perfume.

Oh and let's talk about Kitana. Yes Lord. :wow::noah:

Man.... and when Liu Kang hit the bicycle kick, that whole theater went crazy, and my young ass was right there with them :gladbron:

I hated that they changed the Sonya actor in the 2nd one, I mean c'mon brehs

She nailed the hell out of that role.

Originally it was going to be Cameron Diaz but she hurt her ankle while training

Idgaf what y'all think, but Johnny Cage was the star of that movie. While Liu Kang was off fighting jobbers, sparring with Kitana, and throwing buckets of water at Sub Zero.... This dude fought Scorpion in the netherrealm, and had to face off against Goro.

Christopher Lambert as Raiden was :wow:

When the lizard took over the statue and you heard the announcer say "Reptile" then that theme hit :ohlawd:
As soon as the announcer said "Reptile" the whole theater went

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!

Are you talking about MK II: Annihilation? Because every cast member (with the exception of Robin Shou and Talisa Soto) left that project and was recast. :mjlol: But for real, even though it's not saying much, MK 1 is the best video game movie ever made.

EDIT - Well...idk...Raul Julia was the only good thing about Street Fighter. He practically made that movie memorable. I feel conflicted now, brehs. :patrice:
