Media Gallery Updates

Just updated the Media Gallery to a new version.

Now all members can upload their own images or videos for approval directly to the Media Gallery.

You can upload your media to one of the existing Site Categories and now you can create your own personal Albums.

Albums are permission based so you can choose if you want to make your albums public, only viewable to members, members you follow, members you choose to share with or private.


The way categories are displayed now makes it easier for us to create more, so please make your suggestions on how we can improve the structure of the Gallery.

Tagging is also now possible.

Images can be viewed in Lightbox for easy scrolling through categories or albums.


Also, you might notice this thread is in a new subforum of the Arcadium. This forum is called The Arts (open to new suggestions on the name) and its primarily geared towards Photoshop, Graphic Design, Web Design & Development, Photography and anything else thats relevant to those general ideas. @3Rivers and @Liu Kang are the mods. We're just now setting it up so be sure to check back to see how it develops!

A quick note about uploading, all your uploads need to be approved before they become visible. We might remove this eventually but its in place for now so no one abuses the system.

We missed a bunch of good photoshop movements, if anyone has links to some of those threads, post them up and I'll make a category so we can get all that piff up here.

I have to recode it a little. It's set to be responsive to your screen resolution so if you have a big screen it's probably stretching everything. What's your resolution and do you mind taking a screenshot so I can compare the changes?

I'll probably just put a max width on everything once I get on my computer

I have to recode it a little. It's set to be responsive to your screen resolution so if you have a big screen it's probably stretching everything. What's your resolution and do you mind taking a screenshot so I can compare the changes?

better, but you could make them even smaller to be honest.
if you cut the size in half of what it is now it would be great...but if you could have the actual size of the images that would be perfect.
i'm assuming there is a uniform size for all the cells that display images so it would not work for images that are not smilies and are larger.
