You mean Hampton Roads/Tidewater/Norfolk/VA Beach area??

Northern Virginia is an extension of DC/Maryland..yeah....but Hampton Roads is kinda on that line between East Coast and Down South. I see what you saying about being culturally East Coast, because I grew 2 hours from there in North Carolina, and it did feel East Coasty, but probably cause its a port city area. Even hip hop related so many New York transplants moved there like Teddy Riley and the Clipse, and then Missy, Timbaland, and Pharrell never really big upped the Dirty South like that either.

So I see your point.
