"Around the middle of last year I started listening to a lot of rap, like Nicki Minaj and Drake, as well as pop singers like Lana Del Rey. They all sing about such opulence, stuff that just didn't relate to me—or anyone that I knew. I began thinking, "How are we listening to this? It's completely irrelevant."

Who can relate to music talking about music that talks about shyt you can't relate to?
bytch good music, is good music. Some is relatable, some is not just like movies. Some is for your fantasy, some is for you to think about, some are without lyrics at all and on. Sunday bloody sunday is a great song by U2, but does one have to relate to war just to feel it?

If you want people to relate to your shyt, make love songs or family songs.

And lol @ Drake, prior to this album he's basically not been on that balling shyt..

I don't think her comment is out-of-line. I mean, if you don't live under a rock and have heard "Royals," you should already know this is her attitude :yeshrug:

THIS FCKIIIIN CAAAAC
HOW COME NO HIP HOP ARTIST AHS DECIDED TO GO AGAINST THIS FILTHY DISGUSTING CAC bytch WHO CONTINUES TO DISS OUR CULTURE :damn:
Royals isn't dissin' Hip-Hop culture as much it's dissin' Mainstream Rap, used by Capitalism to basic devolve real Hip-Hop into car, liquor and clothes commercials.

The song is basically Public Enemy were 16 yo's in 2013.
EDIT: Public Enemy is a bit much

Drake & Nicki Minaj aren't Hip-Hop, they aren't our allies.
