Um....yeah MTV, BET, Video music box, The Box w/ Box Talk, Hot97, Kiss FM, WBLS...Yeah they existed.

Well, I'm pretty sure if those places invited Jamar on to talk, he would've. Matter of fact if we went through the archives he probably did guess spots he and there. If you missed your favorite artist appearance on the radio/tv in the 90s you probably wouldn't see it again. Its different today. This video for example is a couple months old, and you can view it anytime.

Moreover, none of those things you listed, presently and in many cases the past, are what he has with Vlad TV. A place to speak free and uncensored on hot topics in the internet age.

I appreciate the militancy, but When's this nikka gonna go in on someone who's a true racist ass, dikkriding, cocksucking culture vulture (not to mention the WOAT rapper and a fukking disgrace to hip hop)?

Namely, that tranny chasing fukk nikka Camel.

Also was hip hop as effed up back then as it is today?

men wearing dresses bad? No

But with something such as hip hop discussions can always be had. Whether it be the content, sound of the music, direction of the genre. I'm pretty sure there were things that we all may have disliked about hip hop that were worth talking about.

Um.....i think U misunderstood. What I'm saying is that Lord Jamar wasn't a big visible presence in the 90's at all let alone when it came to speaking on "issues" unlike the likes of KRS, Ice T, Luke, Bushwick Bill or 2Pac. Lord Jamar was a hard to find type of guy in the 90's. KRS and Ice T on the other hand were a more visibile presence. KRS and Ice T were everywhere and they were like the spokesman for "issues" concerning the urban communities. Lord Jamar was like a ghost during all of this. It wasnt about wether I caught him at the right time...NO! Lord jamar did not have the presence of being a commentary on issues in the 90's like he is now. Thats a fact.

fair point :ehh:

I'll only add that some people have to "grow" into the role, which he may have done over time.

I did a quick search & found these two immediately. Just because he wasn't out there in the mainstream doesn't mean he wasn't speaking out on issues. Also remember, from 93/94 on, the afrocentricity in hip hop was "played out" so people like Jamar weren't being focused on
