A good portion of the coli hates Beyoncé because women love her. She will never get credit for anything simply because of that. But she is the best, she makes good music as well but ppl are going to continue to downplay her until the day she dies then all of a sudden she'll be great.

BUT I find this entire argument bizarre as Beyonce is not known as a prominent writer of the music she sings... That really only leaves us with her performances and voice to compare to the legends you named. Performances... Cool I guess, not something I'm too into. Voice is definitely not crazy emotion invoking...

Honestly, you never seen droves of people openly bashing Prince, MJ, R. Kelly on the music side and I believe it's because their presence was undeniable. Whereas I see Beyonce as a well run hype machine. Her team uses politician-like tactics by taking advantage of the "independent women" movement, etc. She had that song Formation but I ain't never heard of her actually riding for the cause real hard otherwise... I can see why people ain't rocking with her

I've always been more a hip hop head than any other genre and you know how their performances are... so I never truly gained an appreciation for musical performances but looking back...

Usher definitely got Beyonce in terms of raw performance (no props etc)
