Burden of proof and presumption of innocence only applies to criminal defendants. If Moore is so pressed, he can sue the Washington Post and the local papers and he can open himself up to discovery and he can see the evidence against him.

I actually met Doug Jones this past Saturday. He was doing a joint event with Randall Woodfin, Birmingham's new mayor elect, in Ensley. As much as I would prefer Jones, since the national media has gotten involved, people here will double down and rally behind Moore.
