Maybe I'm just weird but whenever people say "Oh that baby looks just like his dad/mom" I always have a hard time or can't see the resemblance. I usually can't see the family resemblance in children until they get older like toddler age+.

Your study doesn't say what you think it says. It says that babies resemble their mothers first; then equivocates between girls resembling their mothers from 1-3 and boys resembling their fathers from 1-3. An important thing to note is that this study participants are white French people and their norms will not necessarily carry over to interracial babies (i.e. biracials tend to look darker and more black which goes beyond superficial differences cacs have bewteen themselves). Also, there have been other studies on this topic which report no resemblance either way but this is again a white as opposed to admixed study population:

"At later ages, no preferential
resemblance has been reported (Bre´dart & French, 1999;
Nesse et al., 1990)."

Im sorry but you sound wild . White Americans look like normal white people (german,irish,english,etc)

9/10 you can't differentiate a white american and a European (not them dark ones)

You do realize whites have been living here for centuries and the majority of them intermixed?

I can tell the difference from a European white and an American one.. (most) American whites look similar to Brits but a little darker.. most american whites dont look german at all.

French and Spanish/Portugal whites have a very distinctive look from American whites though.

I wonder why when ppl always mention white they think of anglo-saxon germanic people first? I guess Iberian ppl dont exist?

No but Hollywood has a tendency to choose hyper-nordic looking white celebrities.

They all look germanic-anglo mixs.. some of them have iberian blood
do they look like the natives of Spain and France tho? Hell no.

its not, got a black friend with an asian wife, kids look more asian. had a childhood friend with black mom and white dad, all the kids look black. My best friend has a white mom and a black dad and he looks white/puerto rican.
